Review #1
Michael has lost the plot with this instalment. The plot is more holes than flow, and the actions/reactions do not stack up against past actions by the characters. Rather than have this review be full of spoilers, I’ve decided just to focus on one. I know that suspension of disbelief is key when reading sci-fi BUT: Sicily is an island of 9,927 sq miles. There are four major mountain areas, and a major volcano. Chances of the cryptids being exactly at a single villa “in the hills” EXACTLY when needed to fulfil a plot device, are immensely slim. AND for heaven’s sake Michael, the FBI is a domestic agency. Michael has some great ideas but, as seen in other series, he gets lazy after a couple of books and just churns them out. I know that ‘Mericans are famous for being ignorant of world (and sometimes domestic) geography, but just 2 minutes on Wikipedia could have improved the book easily. In closing, it is easier for this reader to believe that cryptids could exist than to believe that Taylor would react the way he does.

Purchased this book within an hour of becoming available on Amazon. Another Michael Anderle can’t put it down novel of the adventures of Taylor McFadden. Our favorite characters keep coming together in interesting ways while scoring some hits against the Mafia. If you don’t think the Mob is still invested in Las Vegas this book will set you straight. If anyone knows, Mike Anderle knows. After all he lives in Sin City. Authentic flavor.

Really enjoyed all the characters, their development and who doesn’t enjoy dangerous and evolving critters. Want to see where and how they all evolve and when the really corrupt mega companies will be exposed, confronted hmmmm and fed to their wannabe creatures.
