Her First Kiss (Firsts #1)

Cliffhangers are a pet peeve of mine. I hate them. I also don’t like it when a guy cheats on a girl. I enjoyed everything else but I have to give it three stars for the cheating and the cliffhanger.

I’m crazy invested in this story and honestly didn’t see the cliffhanger ending coming, which is disappointing but I sure am hoping the wait will be worth it. I have read quite a few books by this author but I must not have read the books that are tied to this one. That being said, there are references made to the past that I’m not connected to and would have appreciated a little back story in those instances. I am loving everything about Logan Links, his confusion, his cocky attitude, every single thing. And London, she’s brilliant for being so young, I would’ve loved to have her for a friend, she’s insightful, beautiful inside and out, loves herself more and is quite a spitfire. Looking forward to the conclusion.

I love this book. I’m an MJ fan to my core, but this book…it a great addition to the Love Series. This book can be read as a standalone, however, it would be beneficial if you read the Love Series at some point. Logan has fought of London for years. Now they are in college together. As much as London wanted to just blend in, that may not be possible when Logan starts hanging around. Logan is a good man. He fights for what he wants and those he loves. Logan has grown up to be an amazing man. I honestly can’t wait to see where the next book goes with this story. I love this series and these characters. This book does end in a cliffhanger. I’m going, to be honest, I can’t put into words how much this book made me feel. I’m not going to give anything away, but it was amazing to watch London become a stronger, more independent woman. And Logan has become the man any parent would be proud of. There is so much to come from these two that I can’t wait for the next book.

I have been an MJ Fields fan for years however I have not read the Love Series, which this book is apparently a spin off from. This book can be read as a stand alone book (I did and enjoyed it), however, I will be going back to read the Love Series because I feel it would be beneficial to know the back stories of the secondary characters in the future of this series. That being said, Her First Kiss is an amazing read. I absolutely loved the story. As always, MJ Fields is able to create amazing chemistry that flies off the pages with London & Logan. This is definitely a tear jerker but MJ leaves me wanting more and ready for the next book in the series. I can’t wait to read more.

Ahhhhhhhhh this story is just so beautiful while also being so difficult to read. As I read, so many things from 27 Truths and 27 Lies came back to me. London wants to be liked for her, not her famous family. She wants to be judged on her talent, her abilities, her brains and not because who her stepdad and stepbrother are. Thus she becomes Elle. Logan throws a monkey wrench into her carefully prepared college life for many reasons. He insists on protecting her from everything — always around but these two have known each other forever and have always been oil and water. Is there more to their feelings? Can there be a future between one that believes completely in love and another who believes it can never work — ever? There are indeed some very difficult subject matter to read but MJ does it beautifully. I found myself laughing out loud and many different scenes when these two just can’t seem to help their combative selves. The sarcasm is definitely perfect as is the strength and love of family. I would definitely read 27 Truths and 27 Lies before this if you plan on reading them since there will be some huge spoilers for you otherwise. I’m looking forward to His First Crush immensely!
