It was lacking passion but it was heavily focused on the couple which I liked. It also wasn’t chock full of misadventures like the last dozen or so books in this series have been. I did like both characters but didn’t care for the dog. The dog was so unrealistic. That or the pet owner didn\’t know his pet at all. All the MMC kept saying was that his dog never did that with anyone or he didn\’t like anyone else but but him or just plain the dog \”never did that before\”. It was annoying and I just wished that the dog would disappear from the story after a while. It never furthered the story along and was not endearing as I\’m sure it was meant to be. It was just a waste of page time. It was just as bad as a poorly written toddler talking and understanding adult concepts well beyond the norm. I was confused by the epilogue. What was the point of it being in the mortal FBI agent’s POV if he only appeared for like a second, one more time after that? I’m not sure what was going on with the way this book played out. It was NOT typical Lynsay Sands’ style. Besides that, I have one complaint, G.G.. While I liked his work ethic, his levelheadedness, his generosity and so much more, I couldn’t relate to his character. He was so sheltered, protected by every counsel on the planet his whole life, by every immortal he ever met because of his friendliness at his clubs, and a successful life was basically handed to him from the beginning, that I felt he wasn’t a real person. He was too put together to have a “phobia” of turning. And then for the author to turn him for such a SELFISH(!) reason, made me not like this book by that point. I was so eager for G.G. to get his own book and here the author goes and ruins the character for me. Smdh. It was an okay book, but it was lacking the Lynsay Sands suction powers. She has a way of sucking you into the crazy lives of her stories that you end up happily sad by the end and jonesing for the next hit of her writing. This book didn’t do any of that. While I was interested in seeing how this story played out it fell short of entertaining me. A very unusual lame story that by any other author would have been fine but for this author made for a very weak showing of her talents. Enjoy if you can.

I\’ve mostly liked this series and have read all of them. This book, for me, seemed like it was written by someone else. The characters didn\’t seem finished. Also, some of them were terrible, Sofia for instance, who was so pushy and intrusive that I wanted to punch her. The prologue was so out in left field that I was bewildered by it at first. Then, the fact the FBI agent was only in the book itself for two seconds later on made it worse. I realize it was meant to show why Ildaria was brought back to Toronto, but it just felt very disjointed and not really a part of the book. I kinda felt sorry for the FBI agent. I liked G.G. from previous books but was disappointed in the fact that Ildaria was not important enough to him to risk the turn and then to have him turn for such a selfish reason, like a child. Also the \”explanation\” for why Ildaria thought she was being pursued by Juan was just sad. I\’ve always felt that this author does not write human women very well. They mostly seem stupid. Her immortal women have always been much better until Ildaria. This book was a huge disappointment.

Audiobook Immortal Angel (Argeneau #31) by Lynsay Sands
I\’m sorry, I just finished the of reading this book and I have to comment on the lazy writing of the main heroine. The writer says she\’s from the Dominican Republic. Reminds the reader *many* times that she\’s from the Dominican Republic, and then the author proceeds to write her backstory as if she\’d grown up in Mexico and, made it sound like living in 18th century Dominican Republic is like 90s teen movie of house parties and underage drinking? This is extremely lazy writing and frankly, insulting and irksome. I *love* this series and have read every single one of these books and this one is so OVERTLY IGNORANT that *again*, I had to put the book down *MIDWAY* because the author then stated that the Dominican Republic was part of South America when it\’s in the Caribbean. The heroine is seen as exotic to everyone in GGs family, likes to remind us that she speaks Spanish because she says \”Sí\” all the time, and refers to her home as \”The Dominicans\” (what???) The story is lazy. Using sexual assault and molestation as an integral plot device added to the discomfort of this book. The heroine muses something to the effect of \”Guess I\’m a virgin because I wasn\’t raped just molested when I was 4?!?\” Like, come on… It seemed rushed and felt like a huge chunk of the story was missing. Ms. Sands, I\’m really disappointed. Like, super disappointed. This is an embarrassment.

The Mohawk Maketh the Man. Nightclub owner G. G. has rebelled against his mom Mary in many ways, from the Mohawk in green giving him the nickname G. G. For Green Giant and by refusing to become immortal like his mom and stepdad. When matchmaking Marguerite sends Ildaria on an errand to his nightclub he\’s instantly smitten. Not only is she sexy, she\’s smart and will continue her accounting course in the fall, but she also gets the obedience of his little furball doggie H. D. Ildaria is annoyed that she\’s been taken out of night school to stop being a vigilante to protect women in her campus. She\’s been caught on video vamping out and Lucian needs her to behave. Thankfully she now ends up hired by G.G. For dog sitting and doing the accounts. And to top it off he\’s her lifemate. There are some serious issues in this one, particularly Ildaria\’s history of abuse, which means G. G. Insists on taking it slowly with her. There\’s lots of passion between them, love, humour and those serious moments. Readers have been waiting ages for G. G.s story and it does not disappoint. The furball is particularly loveable. Great stuff.

I adore The Argeneau series ? Here Margarite Argeneau is up to her old tricks again but \’Knowing\’ Whom is Whose Lifemate & this time it\’s the Mortal who owns & runs the Immortal Club, where they all go to relax & get the special \”drinks\’that give them that special \’high\’ GG (Green Giant) – Joshua whose Mum & Stepfather are Immortal living back in London. But its the Female Margaruite\’s seeing up & that\’s Ilagra Angelina who seems to be always getting caught helping Mortals especially female students during her night Collegeing. We see the start of her young child life back in Punta Cana living with her Abuela (Grandmother) whom she was very close with until one night when she was attacked before she was 14 but she fought back & that\’s when her life changed & she becomes an Immortal. Though some areas of her Young life was tortuous its from the night that things happened which was Pretty hilarious with Lynsay\’s discription of the situation & then the hilarious actions of their Lifemates First Matings….??????
