This was my 2nd book in the series I read-also, my 2nd from this author. And, Ive come to the conclusion her books arent for me. Im not a fan of the incessant banter between characters that drags on and on. The attempt at humor reaches desperation. Even if she hits humor successfully its quickly ruined by the fact she doesnt know when to stop. I spend more time skimming than actually enjoying the books. Page after page after page of the same conversation gets old rather quickly. I REALLY wanted to like these books. The covers are cute and they sounded cutesy…but sadly theyve fallen far too short for me. Also, I thought they were going to hold more romance and heat for that matter. Basically, they held none of either. Intimate scenes were very rushed and generic. Romance was nonexistent.

Halley finds out that her competition at the annual kissing booth is her BFF\’s brother, Preston. Halley has won the competition 4 years in a row and knows she could go down on this one. Preston was sweet, kind and way too nice at times for Halley. She was snarky and downright rude at points. She claimed her feelings would get hurt if she didn\’t like what someone had to say, but she had no issues speaking her mind about whatever she wanted. The raccoons were adorable and made the story for me. This book would have worked better for me if I had Preston\’s POV more than I did. I wasn\’t really fond of Halley and had a hard time figuring out who was speaking when she and her friends got together. The premise of the book was good and I did like the ending.

Audiobook Kiss Me Not (Kiss Me #1) by Emma Hart
This book was so adorable. I loved Halley and Preston, they were so cute together and their story is everything I love in cute, fluffy romcoms. Halley is so snarky and I loved the \”Trash Pandas\” she takes care of, Boris I think was my favorite the horny bastard, also I love that she makes bets with her friends that she always wins. Preston was also adorable, I mean who doesn\’t love a guy who knows how to arrange flowers and accepts your \”pet\” raccoons by bringing them sandwiches. The whole kissing booth thing was also a great background for this story and pushed these two to finally admit how they feel for each other. The only part I would have liked would be if the story didn\’t take place for the most part during a week, I wished it took place longer than that and that the booth was just the beginning not the whole book.

Audio Kiss Me Not (Kiss Me #1) narrated by Jonathan Ash Veronica Landon
Kiss Me Not by Emma Hart is the first book in her Kiss Me series. A funny, sarcastic, romantic comedy that centers around three best friends and their unlikely matches. This story in particular focuses on the reigning kissing booth champion and her best friends brother who also happens to be this years kissing booth competition. Creek Falls is a perfect small town setting and Halley and Preston are a wonderful introduction to another small town romance from one of my favorite authors. Add in some quirky grandparents, a family of tame-ish raccoons and this story was complete.

Kiss Me Not is such a cute, laugh out loud read that you will fall in love with. I love Halley and Preston. Their banter and bets will make you laugh to the point of tears. Halley is so full of heart and I just love how she is with the wildlife. Let\’s just say you will love Boris and the rest of the trash panda\’s. Preston is so swoon-worthy. You can\’t help but fall in love with him. I love the chemistry between Halley and Preston. I want to say so much about this book, but I\’m afraid I\’ll give a lot away in doing so. I\’ll just say this you will laugh so hard throughout this one and you will be left fanning yourself over Preston and Halley too. Kiss Me Not is a phenomenal start to the Kiss Me series.
