People used to say Stephenie Meyer writes at an elementary level. They obviously hadn’t read this. Don’t get me wrong, I love the story; the originality was there when it comes to bully romances. Even so, the writing is childish. Short sentences, mediocre vocabulary, and cringe-worthy dialogue comprise the bulk of this book. There’s no substance behind the plot, like the author has never experienced any of the emotions she attributed to the characters. The characters are pretty one-dimensional. The heroine seems like a spineless damsel in distress type who gives in too easily every time. I don’t know how old the author is, but this is composition I would expect from an adolescent. I hope to see this author develop over time because the creativity is obviously there. The second book wasn’t any better. In fact, I think the sex scenes were even more embarrassing than the rest. My advice to the author would be: 1) don’t rush through the story; 2) show, don’t tell; 3) don’t reveal everything right away as far as characters’ intentions go – let your reader experience the uncertainty that the main character is feeling; and 4) stop skipping over weeks or months of time with no comment or explanation regarding the passage of time. Keep writing! This is a great start.

Oh my, not one but four hotties! I will admit I did not like the quads, Brent, Cole, Tristan and Axel, initially. They came across as spoiled, very rich boys who were used to getting anything they want. As they showed their softer sides, they grew on me. Kresley is caught in their sights and not happy about it. She finds herself engaged to Tristan after 2weeks! She finds her feelings changing as she discovers their softer sides and realizes she has feelings for ALL four of them! All I can say is I was not prepared for the ending…..you really need to read this book! I can’t wait for book 2 to see what happens next!

Audiobook Little White Lies (Harvard Academy Elite #1) by Sapphire Knight
This story had potential. I liked the overall plot, it just wasnt well executed.
The book also needs a proofreader. Several glaring mistakes had me questioning if it had been proofed.

Audio Little White Lies (Harvard Academy Elite #1) narrated by Luke Parker Rachel Woods
In my first time reading work by Sapphire Knight, I quickly was immersed into a love triangle with a quad of identical brothers.
In this mature HS bully, reverse harem story, Kresley finds herself thrown quickly into a relationship with one brother, Tristan “the Jock”, while also finding herself in situations with the other three brothers, too. Cole “the Cajun”, Axel “Clark Kent” and Brent “Abs” round out the formidable quad of wealthy new students at Harvard Academy that have set their eyes on Kresley.
And not on!y does Kres have her hands full with dealing with the brothers, as well as trying to get the best grades to hopefully earn a full scholarship to college, she has to deal with tons of bullying fellow girl students all jealous that Kres seems to have the eyes of the de Lacharriere boys. She also has a messed up family life with a high maintenance, oblivious mother and an abusive, controlling father.
This is a cliff hanger that leaves the reader wanting to grab the next book quickly to see what will happen next. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this mature bully reverse harem for the great characters as well as captivating story line.

Overall, I did enjoy reading this and wanted to find out what happens next.
Story-wise, it was pretty original in that I’ve never read a bully romance like this one. The ending is eye-catching as well.
The only thing though is I’m not quite sure how I feel about Kresley, the heroine. She is likable and you do feel for her, but at the same time, she doesn’t question much. I can believe a character is naive and sheltered but this seemed stretched a bit. So, maybe it’s by design on the authors part because in book 2 she’ll find her way?
It should be interesting.
