Max: A Stepbrother Romance

Max and Lola. I enjoyed there banter, it was absolutely hilarious how cocky and arrogant Max was when they finally saw each other for the first time and then again at their parents wedding. Lola was definitely throwing mixed signals towards Max, her fluctuating feelings affected her actions on more than one occasion. Lola’s ex-boyfriend, Tyson was a total douche and I was hoping he would cop a lot more than what actually happened. Tyson was an a grade tool with no brain at all, he certainly never caught on to Lola’s blatant dismissal and sarcasm she was always throwing out there…..Unsure how he could not comprehend, it’s over. I’ve tried a few stories from this author and although I like some, there has been a few I haven’t liked too lol. Max is confident and exudes sex, Lola acts reserved but seems to always be DTF whenever the opportunity presents itself where Max is concerned. Max and Lola got lucky with their relationship being found out early. Would have loved to have read some more on this couple.

I’ve read various books from Ms. Brother’s now and this has got to be the shortest. Although, I assure you, it does not lack in hotness! When you feel like the dramas is getting really good, the epilogue starts. Not that things are left undealt with or anything, it’s just that it ended. Simple as that.

Lola and Max-what a fun couple who make this a great book. There is such a fun vibe between them from start to end. There isnt the dark but its more of a playful vibe which I enjoyed.

Lola was cheated on by her boyfriend before her mom’s wedding and she wants nothing to do with men but Max walks literally into her life-and the funny thing is when Max sees Lola he doesnt plan on making it a long term deal. He wants her for the one night then to move on but things arent always that simple. Lola isnt looking for a new relationship- neither of these two people arent ready for what life throws at them. They end up having an amazing night of sex and when they next meet-OMG fireworks.

The twists and turns come when they get to the wedding that they orginally were coming for…twists and turns come about for them. I love how what each plan doesnt always happen.

Both of these two people grow in this story -become more and the humor is great. Oh and the passion is extremely hot. I enjoyed this story . I am really glad I got to experience Lola and Max’s story.

Lola just found out her boyfriend has been cheating on her and dumps him. They are at a club and this attractive man, Max, notices the fight. Max had been in the club looking for a woman to hook up with or to get drunk. When he sees Lola he has to have her. They have a one night stand that seems like more but Lola does not want more. The next day at her mom’s wedding, they find out that Max’s dad is the groom. Max is planning on keep things going with Lola, but Lola is unsure now that their family’s have merged. But she cannot seem to stay away from the best sex she has ever had. This is a sexy love story.

I was actually smiling as I finished this cheeky little book. From start to finish, it was really fun to read. The author has a nice touch with the humor. Its not a comedy, but it isnt serious either. Instead, Max and Lola trade naughty, snarky comments and I love it.

My favorite part is the slap-fest showdown at the parents wedding reception. The way that Max easily handles Lolas out-of-control ex is hilarious(and sexy).
