Mr. Write was right on target. I’ve always wonder why people cheat. It’s not like they don’t have an option to end the currently relationship they’re in before jumping into bed with another person. Jayden handled his situation semi-nicely. Minus the shagging of all the women after his wife’s infidelity. I wasn’t expecting the little secret Carrie was hiding. I would’ve never guess that. Bravo for pulling that off Monica! I really liked how Jayden stood his ground on his dislike on the idea of cheating. I also liked how he didn’t just sweep it under the rug just because he had feelings for Carrie. I did feel like Liz was hindrance to Jayden moving on and I respect the author for giving him time to close that chapter in his life so he can move on and have the opportunity to have a chance at a healthy relationship. This was a fun quick read and I really enjoyed Jayden and Carrie’s story.

Monica has done it again. The story is well written and grabs your attention and keeps you wanting more.

This story is about two people who are running from their current life to escape. The attraction is the but there both trying to not fall in love again and push the attraction aside.

What happens when they run into each other again at an awkward place and time?
This both has some ups and down they both go through and has moments your laughing and rooting the, on.

A must read. I can’t wait for more from Monica

Mr. Write is a charming tale that takes us into the life of Jayden Evans, a best-selling author, as he attempts to move on from a dead-end relationship.

Elizabeth was the love of his life and the inspiration behind his books written about true love. At least she was up until six months ago when she tore out his heart and ripped it in two. After that, he could no longer find the words. They just stopped, leaving him in a funk. To drown his sorrows, he turns to the bottle and starts sleeping around. Although he soon tires of this lifestyle and begins longing for a change.

One day while heading to his publisher’s house, he meets the lovely Carrie Bell. She is beautiful, smells of strawberries and is so different from the women that he is used to. She ignites a spark within him and the words suddenly come flooding back in.

Wenn die Schreibblockade zuschlägt und keine Inspiration findet, hat man als Autor so seine Probleme. Wenn man dann auch noch ein Liebesromanautor ist, der seine Frau verlassen hat, weil sie ihn betrogen hat, dann ist man richtig am A****.
So ergeht es Jayden in “Mr Write” von Monica James. Am Anfang eher abgestumpft und zynisch der Liebe gegenüber, wie soll er da glaubhaft über die große Liebe scheiben?
Und dann trifft ihn die Inspiration an ungewöhnlichen Orten bzw. durch eine Frau. Nur dumm, dass sie die Schwester seiner aktuellen Affäre ist und Tochter seiner Verlegers.

Einige Irrungen und Wirrungen durchleben die Helden der Geschichte, mit einer Extraportion Drama zum Schluss in Form einer manipulativen Exfrau, findet Jayden am Ende doch zu sich selbst. Weiß was er will und lässt sich dann doch auch wieder auf die Liebe ein.

Dadurch dass fast das ganze Buch ausschließlich aus Jayden Perspektive geschrieben wurde, ist seine Ausdrucksweise doch etwas derber und ungeschönter, als wenn eine Frau ihre Geschichte erzählt.
Es geht ans Herz, aber auch zum Lachen wurde ich als Leser gebracht.
