I’ve generally liked her other books despite having recurring themes about men wanting to dominate women. This one though is not good especially if the reader is sensitive to abuse. The main character repeatedly says he wants to beat, shake, etc. the weak female character. The plot is slow and hidden under all the domination dialog. I’ve read some books by this author with strong main female characters but not this one.

Murder Game audiobook in series A GhostWalker Novel

I had initially read this book years ago and forgotten how great a book it really is.I just love Kayden who has such a difficult and horrible upbringing. Tansy Due to her enhancements had a very lonely and isolated childhood but she had great parents. They come together to try to find a rogue group of ghost walkers who have been viciously murdering. I found the storyline unique and very interesting. I found myself consumed and couldnt put the book down once I had started, despite the fact that I had read it before. As always the Romance is smoking hot and they come together well. I feel like there was a good balance between romance and story plot development. This just reminds me again why she is my all-time favorite author. Highly recommend to anyone, even if youve read it before.

Audiobook Murder Game by Christine Feehan

This book is part of a series. I like the series but I am ALWAYS disappointed in how soon the strong female character gives herself to the strong male character, even when he is mean to her! Couldn’t they wait until there is some kind of relationship between them? Yes, Whitney’s pheromone enhancement is a major part of it and it is always stressed that the pheromones only cause physical attraction and can’t make them fall in love. Yet, they fall in love without even knowing each other. Frustrating to me but I will continue to read this series as the stories are fascinating.

Audio Murder Game narrated by Tom Stechschulte

Tansy used to solve murders for the police then one day she no longer did due to an accident. However; Kandan knew that she was lying about not being able to solve them anymore. He tracked her down and tried to talk to her about why she no longer solved murders, when they were both targeted by assassins. Does Tansy tell the truth or does she run? Will they just work together or become more? Read to find out. Highly recommend this book and series.

THE STORY: Kadan Montague is a GhostWalker (a genetically and psychically enhanced soldier). He is on a secret mission to hunt down a serial killer who is suspected of being a GhostWalker. Kadan must find the real killers or his friends are in danger of being eliminated to reduce the threat. To find the killer, Kadan intends on obtaining the services of Tansy Meadows who is a psychic elite tracker who tracks serial killers with her mind. Tansy had a breakdown after her last job and now wants to live peacefully. When Kadan finds her, the attraction is immediate and Kadan knows that Tansy is the woman for him. He just has to convince her to join his quest and also to acknowledge his place with her.

OPINION: This is a dark book. The serial killings are dark and sick and Tansy spends most of the book in the mind of the killer. Kadan’s history is dark itself and he takes on very difficult assignments that also are dark. This book is dark and bloody and violent. At the same time, this demonstrates how beautiful and light the connection between Tansy and Kadan is. I especially loved how this hard man is so incredibly emotional with Tansy. He needs her intensely — not only physically but also emotionally. The relationship between the two was so incredibly intense and beautiful that I loved every moment these two were together. The only part of the book that I didn’t like was the incredible amount of violence. It works in the story and is not gratuitous, but it bothered me personally because of the intense and persistent nature of the violence.

WORTH MENTIONING: I was very pleased to be back in the heart of the original group of GhostWalkers.

FINAL DECISION: I loved the relationship between Tansy and Kadan. They are in such need for love that it is beautiful to see them both blossom when they find one another. I dinged the book only because it is more violent than others in the series which is something that diminished my enjoyment.

CONNECTED BOOKS: MURDER GAME is the seventh book in the GhostWalkers series. This book can be read as a standalone.

STAR RATING: I give this book 4.25 stars.
