My Favorites: An Anthology audiobook free
This collection of his own favorites from the stories he’s written didn’t match mine. And he missed his own point in one of them. The story about it being cheaper to employ basic construction workers than expensive robots definitely made a point. That happens today too. but, he had an opportunity to show the difference between weight and mass in the case of a huge beam that went out of control. In earth orbit it wouldn’t have weight, but it can still kill you if you’re hit since it does have mass multiplied by momentum.
They are interesting, but I preferred his Kinsman series, among others.

My Favorites: An Anthology audiobook streamming online
For a short story collection of “favorites” by a single author, I found it to be a pleasant, diverting pandemic read. I got the Kindle version for free, so it was an OK value for me ;-), even though I’ve not historically been a Ben Bova fan, despite having been a science fiction fan since the mid 60s.
So if you can get it on sale (or as a library check out), and need some short fiction to fit in during the gaps in your day, I’d say go for it. If you want something that feels more like a classic (and worth paying more for), however, I’d recommend finding a copy of Larry Niven’s “Neutron Star” (the short story collection, not just the eponymous short story).

Audiobook My Favorites: An Anthology by Ben Bova
I tried my best to find at least one story that had some thing I didn’t like about it. I wasted my time. I fully enjoyed each of them. It was easy reading with story plots and characters that interesting.
During this period in life (Covid) I need reading material that was well done, stretched my imitation, and gave me a sense of satisfaction when done.
I got all of this.

A good collection of stories – some more thoughtful and entertaining than others.
Ben Bova was one of the earliest SF writers I read when very young. Was enjoyable re-aquainting myself.

I grew up reading Analog and being influenced by Mr. Bova. This anthology brought me back to the good old days. Such diversity of work. Excellent!
