Night School: Endgame (Night School #5)

Alert, spoilers mentioned, so if you haven’t finished the series, please skip my review. I loved Night School series, from the time I read the first book. And mostly, I love how it ended, but, I do think the way Allie treated Sylvain in the end was pretty horrible. He changed for her, wrisked a lot for her, got into trouble for her and how does she repay him and his love for her? She basically, stompped all over his heart. Cheated on him and if that wasn’t enough icing on the cake, does it while his father is in the hospital and at this time, we don’t even know if he’ll survive what happened to him. I really liked Allie’s character, right up till that point, then I lost all respect for her. While this is fiction, I know as a girl, if I had anyone love me that purely and uncondissionally, I couldn’t bring myself to hurt them that deeply. I know we all change our minds, or find we don’t love someone as much as we thought, but there are kinder ways to let someone go. I think in the end, in a few ways, Allie turned out to be down right selfish and cold. That all aside, though, it’s a page turning series for sure and I loved every event and care to detail CJ Daugherty crafts through her exelent writing. There will always be a little something we don’t love in a book and I suppose, this was mine with this particular book. That doesn’t mean, it’s all a loss or a bad book.

My daughter started to read this book series when she was 12 and finished the last book at age 14. She loved every book and couldn’t wait till the next book was published. Now she is waiting for new books from this author.
