Another winner by T. Gephart!! I absolutely loved Not Just Friends. It’s Jared Leighton, the firefighter, and Presley Tibbs, club manager and sister of Jared\’s best friend, story. They\’ve been friends for years. Trouble with her ex brings them even closer. I really enjoyed these two characters and the way this author wrote them. Presley is a badass! She is strong and independent. She\’s sassy, feisty but she also has a streak of vulnerability. Jared just gets her. He\’s always been a bit of a player and a little arrogant. Neither are looking for a relationship but one unexpected night changes things for them. Unknowingly, her brother is the catalyst that brings them together after that night. He wants Jared to keep an eye on her. He knows Presley trusts Jared. There\’s no going back once they realize there is more to them just being friends. “Guess I lied. We were never just friends. But I promise, it will be the first and the last one I ever tell you. You forgive me?” “You’re right, Presley.”I kissed her. “We were never just friends.” This book has it all!! Humor ✔ Witty banter ✔ All the feels ✔ Hot and steamy sexy times ✔ Swoony hero ✔ Some angst ✔ HEA ✔ We even get to see some of our favorite characters from the previous books in the series. This is a stand-alone, so you don\’t have to have read the previous books but I do highly recommend them!

OMG, Immediately hooked! Presley is one of the firefighter’s (Tibbs) sister and he is extremely overprotective of her but for a good reason. A scary unstable ex boyfriend on the loose, you don’t know if/when he will pop up. Leighton who is Tibbs’ best friend for years and also one of the hot firemen has had it bad for Presley. One night they give in and they can’t get enough of each other. Worst part is… do they go public and if they do, how will her brother react? This was extremely steamy with the hottest chemistry between these two. Leighton was an ex-player but has the perfect mixture of sweet, sexy and confident. Presley is a brilliant successful night club manager that will eat you alive with a smile on her face and you not knowing what hit you. The two of them together makes for a very intriguing adventure. Add in the hilarious banter between Leighton and Bennett the security guard, I was busting at the seems. With this being a hot RomCom it was also suspenseful. I knew the other background story of what was happening because the time coincides events from One Click Love with different points of view but it was intense!! It wasn’t repeat but a whole different story during the same time. Completely put together perfectly without missing a single detail. Gah, I loved every nail biting minute of it. Leighton’s love and understanding of Presley and her needs was amazing. Wow I can’t tell you how much I love them! Definitely a must read! Can be read as a stand alone but highly recommend reading all three of this series because they are THAT amazing!

I loved Presley & Jared’s story beyond words! I was glad that even though I didn’t read the first two stories, I didn’t feel lost while reading. I will definitely be reading the first two in the near future. It might sound cheesy, but I loved that Presley would called Jared his first name when they are together and Leighton his last name when they were in front of her brother. It just made it special & helped her separate the man she was dating and her brother’s best friend. Presley & Jared were imperfectly perfect for each other. They had great banter & chemistry! I loved that this story had a little bit of everything. I laughed. I enjoyed the romance. And oh the protectiveness over Presley was swoon worthy. I really hope that there is more to come in this series. I am not ready to leave these characters and their world behind. I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Not Just Friends is a fun read. I love the banter between Presley and Jared. How can you not love a hot firefighter and brothers best friend type of reads. There is such chemistry between Jared and Presley that is so hot. That little added danger just adds to everything. If you haven\’t had the chance to read anything from Hot in the City series yet then you need to. You will love Jared and Presley so much. Presley is and extremely smart club manager and can handle anyone with ease. Jared is so protective and will make you swoon. You get sucked in from the very beginning. I couldn\’t put this one down.

I’m not sure which book in the series was my favorite because they all were written so well and with such enjoyable characters. While each book can be enjoyed as a standalone they do tie together and you do see the same characters and storylines intertwined between the three. If you are looking for a fun, lighthearted series I would highly recommend checking this one out.
