I purchased the book as when it was released it was not on KU. I should have waited for a week for it to be availab le. . For the amount of pages the price is expensive . I do realize that the author had to spend more for the illustrations and translating. I would be okay with loosing the illustrations if they can offer the book at a lesser price.

I was stocked to read this book as it is one of my favorite Litrpg series but this is s short installment without a satisfying ending. It sort of drifts to an ending and the climax of the book was disappointing. It would have been nice to see a stat sheet at the end of the book. The character is getting these massive points due to exploits but we don’t see the sheet at the end of the book. This probably will be my last purchase in the series. For the next installment I will wait for the book to be Kindle Unlimited. I like this series and look forward to reading more. The book qualify wise equates with the other books in the series, but was not spectacular.

Mistakes: I found four throughout the book. Usually they where incorrectly used words.
Plot: Travel across the land and hunt monsters for loot.
Characters: The Mc acted a lot more mature in this book.
8/10
On a personal note I dont feel like this book is worth 5.99$. Nor do I understand why this book isnt on KU with the rest of the series, which doesnt feel like it is finished.

Review #3

Audiobook Respawn: Nightmare Mode (Respawn #4) by Arthur Stone

Compared to the first 3 this book felt much shorter. Which, considering you have to pay for it as its not included in KindleUnlimited is disappointing.

Nightmare Mode was still quite enjoyable, and I will definitely read it again but it would have been nice if there was more loot and more to the enemies this time around.
It didnt list the loot taken from the unnamed.
It introduced the gray dogs, then they never showed up again and the aniomites dont make sense. Also the group only ran into one significant group of infecteds and didnt get to loot them.
There was a bunch of buildup for Marchs backstory which flopped, and basically no buildup for the unnamed. Cheater hasnt even gotten a chance to use his cache finding or camouflage abilities yet.

In conclusion I probably should have given this a lower rating but I really like the series as a whole and cant wait to find out what happens next!

Audio Respawn: Nightmare Mode (Respawn #4) narrated by Michael David Axtell

This is an entertaining read I will give it that, its why Im willing to give it 4 stars even considering some of the glaring issues.

Probably my biggest gripe with the whole series so far is the clear lack of knowledge about guns, and firearm nomenclature. At least in this book its finally using the correct term magazine as opposed to clip also, many times there is a misuse of the term automatic when referring to some of the firearms in the game or machine gun it took me some time to realize that the author was referring to Simi-automatic rifles and AR style rifles/AK style specifically when referring to machine guns. Im not sure where he got the measurements for the calibers. As often times it uses the bullet diameter as its caliber which isnt correct in most cases. Often it states that a shotgun is useless, but a pistol might be better than a shotgun??? Or a 9mm rifle being an acceptable caliber sorry, I cant say that I know of too many bolt action rifles that use 9mm ammunition. And I would have to say a 12ga shotgun slug would still have far more penetration power than that rifle.

I know Im griping on this quite a bit, but this is probably the only reason why I didnt completely enjoy the series so far. Its still entertaining to read, and thats why I rated it at 4 stars because it was still worth it. But it would have been vastly improved IMO if the author spent time researching the weapons he was planning to put into the book,

It’s a good book, a bit short, and definitely not worth the price. It should have been on KU like the rest.

I hope the author learns from this, as this will be the last book in this series I’ll be reading if he doesnt.
