The book is better than you\’d expect. Bentley Royce is a teenage reality star. Her family\’s show, Rolling with the Royces, is facing cancellation. She\’s not so sure whether she wants the show to stay or go–she has dreams of other things, like college or her crush, Asa. The book is witty and smartly-written, and there\’s a couple nice twists in there. It\’s fast-paced, snappy, and satirical. I highly recommend buying it.

Over all, it\’s a great book a really good one and clever one ! I would never have seen where this book was headed. With that being said, it was hard for me to get through 50% of the book. But after having finished it, it is worth it. It\’s amazing in an overall picture. I loved it and it\’s worth the read.

(3.5) This is a good story for those that really like YA, \”reality\” TV, that like light stories that read quickly, and that enjoy stories that aren\’t incredibly plot heavy. This is the story of the Royce family. They are a TV family that\’s been on air for the past 5 years and are looking to be renewed for the 6th season. In the family you have the mother Mercedes, eldest daughter and most girly of the bunch Porsche, middle child Bentley, and youngest son Maybach. This story mostly focuses around 17 year old Bentley and her woes. The story starts out with a headlining story about Bentley and her sisters fiance being presumed dead after their car went off the road. From there the story backtracks 11 months to get to that point. This is an interesting story. You can definitely see where the inspirations come from throughout the book and it\’s fun little thing to look for. The family in the story isn\’t all that bad. They have likable and unlikable qualities. As you\’re reading it you start to pick out who you like and don\’t like so much pretty quickly. I would say most of this story isn\’t when the cameras are rolling but more about what Bentley is thinking and doing when they aren\’t. It\’s mostly a good story but I will say I wasn\’t a big fan of how the love interest worked out. It was a little too odd when you get to the end but I\’ll leave that one to you since it\’d be a spoiler. There is a big part of the end I just didn\’t like that I can\’t mention either but when it came to the very end I did feel like it wrapped up nicely. I would say this book is worth reading if you are feeling inclined to do so. It\’s a fast read and it\’s a fun one. Once you read it you can see for yourself how you feel since the reviews are pretty all over the place. I will say that there aren\’t really enough reviews out there for this one so it definitely needs some more readers to get a better idea of how people are thinking and feeling about it.

I came across this book when the book was about to come out. And I thought that the plot was intriguing. I just thought it was so nice to see a different (albeit, fictional) side of a reality TV. And I more intrigued that the book was deemed under the \’mystery\’ genre too. The book was honestly good. I thought the craziness of the Royce family was hilarious and also compelling. It\’s interesting to see the intricacies of people through a book and not a screen. The thing though is… I think this book was meant to be read, not to be heard. I listened to the audiobook, and I think it was great. But there came a time that it was confusing to follow the articles being read, and the side notes being shared by the production people in the book. I got it for the most part, I just thought it became annoying. The book was so-so. I think the characters were interesting, but not likable. The story was very good but I think the way the book was structured was a bit of a struggle (especially if listening to an audiobook). And overall, it was a good book.
