Rumors are never good and times it can be more damaging than ever.

Reading about Frankie, it made my heart hurt and will stay with me for a very long time. Her story is fiction but the events are true for others for that is the saddest part. As a child we are taught to trust adults but what happens when they trust if broken and threats are made. What happens to that child and whey they grow up?

One man saw the pain hidden in her eyes and he stood up to the rumors and find a way to show Frankie that love is out there for everyone. With his trust, she finds a way to move on and heal.

I know nothing about a small town but I know how rumors can make life unbearable and for those that turn the other way, well those people will need to live with that for the rest of their lives.

The beautiful things…I’m still working on finding my version of beautiful things. It’s hard to be quiet and not fight for ones life. It’s so much harder to try and heal. It’s even harder to tell somebody. The hardest thing is to face your monster.
I am so happy with the way this story was was written. I may have not found my beautiful but stories, even fictional, leave me with a hope that maybe someday my silent screams will be heard. A huge thank you to the author for writing about some of the horrific realities we face each day.

Frankie has endured a horrendous past that no one should have to experience. She changed from an outgoing child to one that trusted few people and although she never spoke of what occurred she did have her grandmother and her best friend for support. When her grandmother passes away, she is left alone and having to face the demons of her past once again.

Dalton is the new Sheriff in town and the one person who when he looks at Frankie he actually sees her. He realizes that her behavior and actions are not typical, and he is determined to help her and that means getting her to trust him with the truth.

Not only will your heart break for Frankie but she will inspire you as well as her strength and resilience shines through. Dalton is living with the regrets and guilt of his past and there is nothing he wouldnt do for Frankie, but he also knows that patience is what will win her heart. This is an emotional story about love and healing with not only great characters but a great cast of secondary characters as well. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

When it comes to books written by this author, I keep my tissues handy and settle in for an amazing ride. This book, while heartbreaking at times, left me so happy. The characters were so well written and, as always, the story touched me deeply to my soul. This author will forever be an automatic one-click for me.

I really loved reading this book!! The story is wonderfully written. Frankie has had a very traumatic childhood. When she meets Dalton he is the only one who can see her pain. She struggles to get her life back with the help of her new friends.
