Oh, Jennifer Probst! I cannot believe I delayed reading this book. I fell completely in love with Gen and Wolfes story. Im a big fan of best friends to lovers romances and Probst really made that storyline her own. Her writing, as always, is seamless and perfectly paced. I could not put this book down until the very last page. Wolfes past is much darker than I could have imagined. His life was not an easy one, but his journey into himself with the help of his new found family and friendship with Gen was soul altering. He just didnt realize that holding himself back from his sexy as hell best friend would be so hard! Gen is in big trouble. Her relationship collapses and she lands in the arms of Wolfe, her best friend. She always knew he was an attractive man, but when did her body start recognizing it? The heat between these two is smoking and the tension is raw. Their struggle to deny it is exasperating yet heartbreaking. But they willingly get there and their HEA will heal your soul. Dont be like me and delay reading this book! It was fabulous! It has romance, angst, hot sex, and drama. The essential ingredients of a 5-star romance novel!

Searching for Beautiful by Jennifer Probst was everything the title promised… a fabulous search as the characters grow and become even closer and finally find beautiful. On your way to becoming a surgeon, marrying a doctor – no not just any doctor but the Chief! Can life get any better for Gen? Well apparently! Because it is just not feeling right to her.. so she runaway brides it! Jumps out the church window and lands right in the arms of her best friend! Wolfe had snuck out of the church for a moment and ended up being in the right place at the right time to catch his best friend and sweep her way to safety. But as they spend more time together their feelings deepen and come to the surface. Will they be able to risk their relationship to search for beautiful and find true love? I just adored this book. Don\’t you just love a great friends to lovers story! And Gen and Wolfe are so perfect for each other, even if it takes them a while to see it 😉 Their easy banter between each other, the acceptance of who the other is – no ifs, ands, buts or backstories needed – the support, the chemistry… it\’s the stuff you dream about. And Wolfe.. WOLFE!! Really, read this for him alone! Hot, smart, protective, bad boy, sweet with children, he blushes.. blushes I tell you, his fear of spiders (seriously it is adorable and hilarious, you have to read it!) *sigh* he is truly swoon-worthy! Wolfe brings a broken, damaged heart into this and watching him fight with himself, while still watching over Gen was both beautiful and heartbreaking. Gen was the one initially hurt and broken as this book begins, but we watch her grow and find her inner strength thanks to the support of her best friend. I loved watching her come back to herself and see the roles reverse in their relationship. And as always with Jennifer Probst, the side characters are phenomenal! Watching their journey helped to remind me how important it is to always search for the beautiful And never to forget the beauty inside of yourself. I definitely recommend this book. It can absolutely be read as a standalone. However it may leave you wanting a peek into the other books in the series 🙂 I received a complimentary copy in exchange for my honest review.

Audiobook Searching for Beautiful (Searching For #3) by Jennifer Probst

Searching For Beautiful is book number three in author Jennifer Probsts Searching For series and I loved, loved, loved this book. Loved. Never in her wildest dreams did Genevieve MacKenzie think her life would be in this much of a mess. She never thought she would have been about to marry an emotionally abusive man, never thought she would have walked out of her wedding, never thought she would be letting everyone around her down. She wasnt that girl. She was the one with her head on straight and always succeeded in everything she did. And yet here she was.a mess. Luckily she had Wolfe by her side. Her best friend was always by her side though. And she loved him for it. And with things in such turmoil around her, she needs it more than ever. The thing was she really needed to stop her thoughts from dipping into friends with benefits territory. She had just left her fiance, she shouldnt be thinking about Wolfe that way. Man, it was hard. Wolfe never had anything to thank fate foruntil now, when he sees his best friend escaping out of the wedding chapel window and begging him to take her away. Fate got a high-five for this. Since Gens fiance had tried to limit the time they spent together, he hadnt seen her in entirely too long. But now she needed him nd he would move heaven and earth to make her happy and whole again. She never came out and said it, but he knew her fiance was a controlling jerk. Now he had her back in his life, and he would be her knight in shining armoreven if he was anything but. And he would cherish every minute they had together because as awful as it made him, he would never stop thinking about Gen and never quit wondering if he could be the type of man worthy of someone like Gen. But he never would be Together, Gen and Wolfe have a chance. A chance at love. A chance at a happy ending. But will they take it? Ive been a huge fan of author Probsts writing for a few years now. She writes amazing characters with depth and emotion. Story lines that are interesting and entertaining. She ways delivers a great read. But this book was by far, her best book yet. There were so many layers in this highly emotional story that I just couldnt stop reading and was devouring every page. Wolfe broke my heart. Hes an amazing character with a childhood that, the way Ms. Probst wrote it, had me crying big ugly tears and wanting to reach through the pages and hug him. The horror he endured was unimaginable and made me want a happy ending for him with a desperate passion. Gen was equally amazing. The situation she found herself in was one that too many women find themselves in and in writing her story, Ms. Probst gives a voice to the many victims of domestic violence. The relationship between Gen and Wolfe grew from friends to lovers in such a delicious pace that when they finally make the jump into a physical relationship, it was sublime. Smoking hot and charged with emotion, I adored them together! There are many stumbles along the way for these two, but I knew Ms. Probst would give them the happiness they were so worthy of. If theres one book you pick up after reading one of my reviews, I hope this is it. With so much to love in this story, I highly recommend it. Thank you, Ms. Probst, for one hell of a fantastic read!

Audio Searching for Beautiful (Searching For #3) narrated by Madeleine Maby

4.5/5 Wow just WOW. I couldnt wait to get my hands on Wolfes story from the moment I laid my eyes on that beautiful, broken boy, and I have to say it was well worth every agonising moment. Not only the revelations about Wolfe but the abuse Gen suffers from as well made my heart hurt. Gen and Wolfe have a connection from the moment they meet; however, neither want to admit to just how powerful their feelings are when they dont feel worthy of the other, so they settle on friendship and for the most part it works fine. Allowing them both to create their lives while having each other as safety nets. It is easy for an outside observer to see just how perfect they are for each other if only they could break free from the shackles of the past. This outsider knowledge together with the chemistry smoldering between Gen and Wolfe creates a heart-aching tension within the narrative. It was painful to witness the trauma Wolfe suffered at a young age; his barriers are brutally understandable. No-one should have to endure the things he did especially lacking parental protection. Although, it is Gens abuse that is ingeniously portrayed within the plot. Jennifer Probst manages to convey the serious is of emotional manipulation and undermining self-confidence in a way that clearly conveys that IT IS ABUSE. So many times similar situations are brushed under the carpet due to the master of the manipulation, creating the picture they want seen rather than the machinations at play. It is scary to witness just how clever someone has to be in order to control the situation to such an extent. The term sociopath comes to mind. I adored Gen and loved how she was able to reclaim herself, especially how she was guided by her inner voice The inclusion of the characters from the previous books alongside those in the Marriage to a Billionaire series added depth including the importance of good family and friends. Searching for Beautiful has paved the way for Searching for Always due for release at the end of June. I cannot wait to see the fireworks Arilyn is going to cause. As well as catching up with some of my favorite characters SWOON

In the previous book we saw a somewhat reserved Genevieve especially after her engagement, she seemed stressed and unhappy even then. Genevieve runs on her wedding day and it is her on male best friend that finds her and whips her away from the inevitable chaos. He also fields friends calls and texts until she is ready to face the music. Wolfe has always been a strong character and here he shows no difference, however we do get to see his sweeter, softer side when he looks after Gen. Both realise what they have been missing when they get back together as friends, however it does not take long in confined quarters until the friendship turns into something else. The book is both funny and sweet and shows how friends are always there for anything. We also meet Office Stone Petty who stars in the next book along with Arilyn. Another must read from Jennifer Probst.
