I don\’t know who started the concept of Trilogies, but it is really a standard of the romance book industry. This is no exception and only needs 3 short reviews so all are the same. The concept is that three friends, who have all had failed relationships with cheating, stealing or lying men; are thrown together in a business venture. In book one \’Shame on You\’ , \’Kennedy O\’Brien is ex-Army back from Afghanistan who finds her husband cheating on her and starts a detective/cheating spouse/bounty hunter agency called of course \’Fool Me Once Invesigations\’. Joined by her two best friends, Paige McCarty, whose gambling addicted husband used her and broke her nearly million dollar modeling \’bank\’ and Lorelei Warner , whose husband decided he was gay; they juggle their careers of modeling and the law while helping Kennedy, \’the muscle\’ get the business started. They all naturally have trust issues with men. In \’Shame on You Kennedy has problems with accepting her husband\’s \’best friend\’, Griffin Crawford, as her one and only. In book 2 \’Shame on Me\’, Paige the \’beauty\’, must come to terms with her Mr Right, Matt Russo, a supposed cheating husband, who she\’s trying to catch. In book 3, \’Shame on Him\’, Lorelei, the \’brains\’, a stuffy, organized lawyer type controlled by her rich lawyer parents must learn to live her own life and find out if there are any \’good ones\’ out there namely PI Dallas Osborne. There is of course a different mystery plot to each and the characters are well developed (one of the advantages of the trilogy format) by Tara Sivec. Only possible complaint is that at 138, 146, and 147 pages they are quick reads but could have been just a single book. I found all three stories humorous, hot and quite enjoyable reads with all the usual approach /avoidance conflicts in the \’dance of lovers\’ in romances. Shame they didn\’t have another partner for book 4.

The ending to this series was bitter sweet I adore these woman, their stories and triumphs. Tara Sivec is by far the funniest author Ive ever read. Her Chocoholics series is one thing, but her Fool Me Once series? Good Lord I cant get enough of these girls. The things they get themselves into the men in their lives. and Lorelei Warner was no exception. Lorelei . poor girl, after her husband leave her for another man, she collaborates with her two best friends to start up Fool Me Once Investigations. Shes a strong minded independent lawyer, but when Dallas Osborne walks in, taking over one of her cases her anger and lust is palpable. These two couldnt hate each other more hes arrogant, and Lorelei can barely stand to be in the same room as him. But as her investigation continues, dangers popping up around every corner Dallas is committed to keeping her safe and out of his way. Lorelei is still in the very delicate situation trying to be the proper woman, lawyer her parents want her to be, struggling with the fact her husband off happily in a new relationship with the man he left her for, add her parents constant criticisms about working as a private investigator Lorelei is desperate for some excitement to ditch the fancy suits and get dirty in her work. Add Dallas to the mix and youve got some pretty palpable chemistry. These two hard headed PIs are going to have to set their egos asside to solve this mystery but add in their chemistry and things seriously start to steam up for this once bored lawyer. If you havent read any of Tara Sivecs Fool Me Once Series youre missing out!

Audiobook Shame on Him (Fool Me Once #3) by Tara Sivec
Lorelei is a lawyer who is dealing with her ex-husband getting married to the man he ran off with, her parents who want her to be something she\’s not interested in and the attraction she feels toward Dallas, a man she\’s not even sure she likes. I loved the banter between Dallas and Lorelei in Shame on Me. I couldn\’t wait to read this one and see how they were going to get over the animosity. It was one heck of a fun time for the reader, probably not so much for the two of them…until they finally gave in. Dallas is sexy as sin and really a great guy. I loved watching Lorelei realize that. And I loved watching the two of them fall for each other. I also loved that Lorelei finally figured out her life and told her parents what she really wanted. Her mother\’s reaction was awesome. This series is full of quick, fun, sexy reads. I highly recommend them if you\’re into that kind of thing.

Audio Shame on Him (Fool Me Once #3) narrated by Amy McFadden
Fun and sassy and smart characters. This book is an enemy to lovers romance with some mystery. With each book of this series, the mystery aspect grows more predominate with the story, though the romance is there every step of the way. Filled with so many quirky and colorful characters, yet they are all likable. There is plenty of humor, but I think this book has a little less (as the protagonist is a more serious character.) As with each of the other two books, there is a small amount of thriller (primarily when they catch the \’bad guy.\’) Each book can be read as a stand alone without any problems, and can be read in any order. (Though you will get the spoiler of which girl ends up with which boy if read out of order.) Also, as with the other two books, this is quick and easy to read. It\’s shorter than your typical novel, yet longer than a novella. If you are looking for a light-hearted read that isn\’t too serious and heavy, this is a good series. There is a small amount of sexual content (one sex scene,) nothing too overly graphic, but just enough. I\’d say it would be ok for 16+.

A highly anticipated third edition of the \’fool me\’ series, could it be as good and complete the trilogy, abso..flipping…lutely. Tara Sivec has a way of writing, and story telling that draws you in, makes you live with the characters. You\’ll laugh, gasp, shriek, hold your breath, thump the nearest pillow, and cry along the way. The only thing \’wrong\’ with these books is they all finish far too quickly, still leaving the reader wanting more…… isn\’t a bad thing!!!! Tara just needs to write quick, for the next adventures.
