Shame

Really enjoyed this book and the transition from teen to adulthood of the characters. Fiona Cole knows how to right a book with a wonderful story while having all the sexy scenes that you enjoy. And the narration is amazing!!!

I LOVED this book by Fiona Cole. It\’s my first book by her and I\’ll definitely be looking out for more! Holly Warren and Edward Thomas do an amazing job and giving all the characters individual identities! Like most of us – high school has impacted our life in one way or another, despite the other things taking place at the same time in our life. Kevin and Ana are best friends. I loved how I grew with them, understood their feelings and felt their grief and happiness. Although I\’m sometimes frustrated with Ana, it\’s a natural frustration and can actually see her decision making process, even if it isn\’t my own. I\’d like to say this is a love story I couldn\’t put down, but actually, it\’s erotic and heart breaking and sexy, and ….just wow – the sex scenes made me sometimes feel like I was a voyeur. Both narrators allowed me to feel all these things without feeling like they were just reading a script.

I loved this book!!! So well written about the misplaced guilt and shame we sometimes put on ourselves!! For anyone who has ever been in love, confused, or ‘should’ upon.. this is a not to be missed story!! The narration was spot on award worthy!! I will absolutely be looking for both this author and narrators again!! ( they were all new to me) For me, this is definitely worth any credit or coin and I will certainly listen again and again!

Such a fantastic coming of age story for a couple kids who are going through an alternative sexual discovery. I loved the idea of story and the characters, the highs and lows were so emotional, on both fronts. I could feel the turmoil these kids were going through and had such empathy for them. Getting the happy ever after was so deserving. My only objection was that I felt that the exact same issue was thrown at them over and over that it lost some of its efficacy for the reader. But I know it’s a book I will still come back to over and over. It’s that good.

This was just….intense. I loved every second. Also, Edward Thomas has the SEXIEST voice. Holly was super amazing as well. They brought this story alive.
