I got this book on my kindle the day it came out and finished it the day after. So disappointing! I wish it never had ended! It starts with Cinderella at the ball. She runs away, leaves the glass slipper, ect ect. But when Lady Tremaine locks her in the attic, the mice don\’t give her the key. So she never tries on the glass slipper. The evil Stepmother tries to sell her, so she runs away. She is found by a seamstress her age, who brings her to the castle, where she is hired to be the king\’s sister, a lady who is very hard to please. Then Cinderella finds a book with a mysterious note inside a book about magic. It seems that magic was banished from the kingdom, which is why she only had till midnight. Cinderella must sve her fairy godmother and all the other magical beings, while she also must battle with her feelings about Prince Charles(a.k.a Prince Charming). The only thing I didn\’t really like was that the plot was kinda the same as As Old As Time(the beauty and the beast twisted tale). Other than that, it was SOOO good!!! I love the ones Elizabeth Lim writes! I wish she would write more of them!!!!! If you like Reflection, you\’ll like this one. Don\’t miss it!

I was excited to read this story by Elizabeth Lim that delves into the story of Cinderella and changes the story based on the fact that she did not get to try on the glass slipper when the Duke came to her household. While not as good as my favorite of the Twisted Tales, \”Reflection\”, also by Lim, this was an enjoyable read. Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora for me have always been very one dimensional princesses, as the first three who came in the 40\’s and 50\’s, where women were expected to be nothing else save pretty. Both the takes on Snow White (Jen Calonita\’s \”Mirror Mirror\”) and Aurora (Liz Braswell\’s \”Once Upon A Dream\”) took both of these princesses in more of a warrior direction. I am glad Lim did not do the same with Cinderella, and made her a different kind of hero. I am looking forward to her next Twisted Tale outing.

Audiobook So This is Love by Elizabeth Lim
What everyone finds wrong with the original character and story of Cinderella is re-told in a refreshing twist. Character development, layered story telling and references to the animated classic are wonderfully done. This is for fairy tale fans who enjoy a modern story telling approach to their classics.

Audio So This is Love narrated by Esther Wane
I gave this book as a birthday gift because the recipient loves a few of the other Disney Twisted Fairy Tales. However, I am embarrassed to have given this book given the TERRIBLE print quality. There are ink stains on the top and bottom of every single page of the book. It looks like if I pulled a paper out of my inkjet printer before it was do I finished printing and the ink smeared at the top of every page. Except of course I didnt print this book; but paid money for it in hard copy for it to look like something that was rushed off an elementary school copy machine. The bottom of the pages have random ink dots. No patten; just dirty print job or cheap paper. It is gross. It also came with a grease stain on the outside of the book jacket. I can even focus on the story because who could read a brand new book that looks worse than a high school newspaper in the 1980s?

I lovr this book! It is defiantly beats the movie! The Bruno and Cinderella go to the castle and work there. She finds out the grand duke Ferdinand wants to poison the king. He hires her to spy on the duchess. She doesn\’t. Also Ferdinand father got rid of Lenore so Cinderella had till midnight. Also Ginny tells Charles to have a masquerade and gives Cindergirl and her friend extra masks. And you should read this. Please. Pretty please with sugar on top and sprinkles and wiped cream and chocolate syrup and everytng else etc. *submit* a title for your review.
