I really liked Beau and Savannahs story. Going in, I wasnt sure how I was going to feel about this book. I really did not care for Savannah in the first book. Being in her head, and seeing things through her eyes I definitely changed my mind about her. Im still not happy about what she did to Jacob and Kallie (book one), but I understand it more. Savannah, Beau and Jacob have been best friends most of their lives. Jacob only ever had eyes for Kallie. While Savannah only saw Beau. She knew she wasnt good enough for him and his high profile family. So she loved him the only way she could. As a friend. Little did she know, Beau felt the same for her. So when the truth about her son is finally brought into the light, she fears shes lost her best friend for good. But when horrible things start to happen to Savannah, Beau steps up to protect her the only way he can. Hes going to marry her. With her having his last name, whoever is out to get her will back off and leave her alone. Its a good plan, and it gives them both what theyve secretly desired for many years. For over eight years, Savannah has been the town pariah. After all, shes the one who broke up the towns golden couple. Shes put up with the sneers, the whispers, the finger pointing and the name calling. Choosing to ignore it all and hold her head up high. Her side of the story was depressing and heartbreaking. She was tough. At least in public. She did spend a lot of time in tears. Beau was very loving and patient with her. Taking over from his father as mayor of their small town, brings lots of unexpected surprises with it. His family was a nightmare. His brother, and father being bullies, running from and covering up their problems. His mother always looking the other way. But they all came together in their hatred for Savannah. A good story. Each book does have a happily ever after. But that is not necessarily the entire story. I would recommend reading the series in order so you are getting the complete story. Im looking forward to Ethans story. We get a sneak peek into whats coming in the epilogue.

Southern Storm (Southern Series #3) audiobook in series Southern
This series is so much more than a cowboy romance series. You need to read the previous books before reading this one, because theres a lot of backstory that is revealed through the other books. Im pleasantly surprised by how well the suspense is paced through Savannah and Beaus story, I was expecting to be more focused on the romance but the danger Savannah was in and who was behind it all kept me guessing and invested in the story too. I was a little afraid to read this book because Ive read the previous two books and I disliked Savannah. However, I love best friends to lovers romance, so I was also excited to read this book. Beau and Savannahs story is a true best friends to lovers romance, it has all the elements (typical I cant tell him/her because Ill lose his/her friendship and He/She doesnt see me in that way) and I loved it! Beau is an amazing character, hes the sweetest guy ever, protective, caring and sexy. Hes going through a lot and all he can think about is how Savannah is feeling and thinking and he really goes out of his way to make her happy. Hes so selfless that sometimes it bothered me because that was one of the main reasons he never told her his feelings. Savannah was tougher to like, I cant really say that I love her character but I did warm up to her, she had her reasons to make certain choices, her life wasnt easy and she definitely went through a lot (A LOT!). There were a few things that still annoyed me about her even after the books ending (mainly connected to what went down between her, Kallie and Jacob, and to some secrets that shouldve been out in the open sooner). Beau and Savannah were in love with each other forever, but they never confessed their feelings because they were too scared to lose their friendship. I really liked how their relationship developed into so much more through all the mysterious danger Savannah was in. There were a few comic moments and a few that made want to yell at both, but it was a beautifully written slow burn. I think the plot regarding the mystery was good, even though there was a moment or two that felt a little far-fetched, but I was still very curious about who was behind all of it and I was surprised when it all was unveiled. Southern Storm is a sweet, slow burn, steamy, emotional best friends to lovers romance with a hint of a fake relationship trope and a lot of suspense, danger and a dash of mystery that kept me enthralled in Beau and Savannahs story. After that ending, Im excited to read Ethans story in the next book.

Audiobook Southern Storm (Southern Series #3) by Natasha Madison
Southern Storm is a poignant story that will tug on your heart, youll need tissues, lots of tissues. I think this is author Natasha Madison at her best, im so in love with all the characters. The way the story flows effortlessly, the author brings all the characters into the story at the right moment leaving nothing behind. Beau and Savannahs story is beautiful but there are plenty of drama to keep readers interested in the story. Beau and Savannah survived the biggest storm of their lives.

CLOUDS COME FLOATING INTO MY LIFE, NO LONGER TO CARRY RAIN OR USHER STORM, BUT TO ADD COLOR TO MY SUNSET SKY by Rabindranath Tagore
I wish I was able to give \’Southern Storm\’ more than a 5* rating; because this story truly takes romance fiction to the next level. Natasha Madison keeps producing smash hit after smash hit. Savannah and Beau book always promised to be an epic story of love, lies and betrayal and it really didn\’t disappointed! From the first book in the series \’Southern Chance\’ we already knew of the secret that Savannah, Jacob and Kallie have kept; But Beau the man that Savannah has been secret been in love with since a child and has been her best friend forever doesn\’t. Savannah was born on the wrong side of the tracks to a trashy mother so the town never really took the shy Savannah who was nothing like her mother but becoming a mother as a teenage and allowing her other friend Jacob (Jacob and Kallie\’s story is told in \’Southern Chance\’) to pretend to be the dad turned the town even further against her the only one that stood by her side was Beau. Beau has always loved Savannah but she has firmly put him in the friends camp and he would prefer to stay there than be without her; he has helped raise 8 year old Ethan her son even believing that Jacob was his father. But now Jacob has just become Mayor and with that comes great responsible – taking over from his father Beau wants to ensure that the town is now run probably! So as you can case Beau wa born on the very right side of the tracks thus making his family believe that Savannah is and always will be beneath them. I am not giving anything away as it is the opening in the book but when Beau finds out that Jacob is not in fact Ethans father but Beau\’s brother he is left hurt and shocked by what he has uncovered and when more layers are peeled back nothing will stop him from wanting to help and be with Savannah. But some have other ideas, and do their best to drive Savannah and Ethan out of town. But Savannah is strong and weathered many storms over the years but one devastating incident maybe the last one and it might time for her and Ethan to pack up and find a place were people smile and say hello to her in the morning rather than turn their back! Can Beau prove that Savannah has it all wrong and the town is the place that she and Ethan need to be be! Savannah is like the quote below – she stood in the wind of the town and through it all she stood firm and adjusted her sails as needed !

Going into this book, I hated Savannah, HATED HER. In my eyes there was no redemption for her, she was selfish and didnt care who she hurt to get her way…. BUT, and this is a huge, ginormous but, Natasha once again weaved her spell on me and I not only stopped hating Savannah, I felt empathy for her, when she hurt, it made me sad, and although in the previous books she didnt show her grief at the pain she caused, in this book, she absolutely did. The way Savannah was, and has always been treated is cruel and unfair, and once again goes to highlight the inadequacies in society. Savannah was shunned for getting pregnant with a baby by a man who was already taken, whereas Jacob was the beloved son of the town, and quickly forgiven for his supposed indiscretion but thats another story, this is the beautiful love story of Savannah and Beau. Beau is absolutely everything my heart desires, a best friend who stuck by, even when he believed his two best friends (one being the girl he was in love with) had been sleeping together behind his back, he helped when Savannah needed help, with her bar, with her son, with whatever she needed because thats just the loyal man he is. Beau and Savannah have been in love with each other for years, neither having the courage to tell the other, but when Savannah and Ethans lives are put at risk, Beau goes into protector mode and claims them as his, telling Savannah they are getting married. This is what they both dream of, but they also both believe this situation is the others nightmare. Once the air is cleared and declarations are made, these two finally get to have their HEA, but theres someone out there that doesnt want that to happen. Once again Natasha has written a perfect love story full of angst and sadness, but also hope and beauty. We should all be so lucky as to find the kind of love she writes about. I cant recommend enough, giving this book a try, if you, like me, are scared to go in due to your hatred of Savannah, believe me, the leap of faith is more than worth it. This is Natasha Madison, her stories wont let you down.
