Star War Fans will love this book. Exciting and very readable even for younger readers. Makes a great stocking stuffer plus the book is part of a series so that will encourage your child to read more. My grandson is trying to locate the entire series since he enjoyed the characters and plot of this one. Amazon is a great source for books that are hard to find in the bookstores.

This book is based in 25 BBY and though Anakin’s age isn’t mentioned in this book, on the official page of Wookieepedia, under Anakain Skywalker/Legends, it had menetioned that he was 15 years old by now and he thinks that he is tuned to the force by now, but he’s about to get some bad news, where two Padawans, Anakain Skywalker and Darra Thel-Tanis. And then two Jedi Masters, though the obvious one is still a Jedi Knight, that is Obi-Wan-Kenobi but aided by Soara Antana have arrived on a Planet called Haariden and enetered a war zone, after seeing a civil war and Anakin Skywalker, being the arrogant person that he is, accidentally nearly gets himself killed in an explosion, but get’s Darra Thel-Tanis unconscious and in shock. Their original mission was to get some scientists that are being held as hostages off-Planet, Granta Omega had been on Ragoon 6 as a humanoid bounty hunter, but he was the main person to have gotten the bounty hunters onto them, he explains to the Jedi Council that Granta Omega hates the Jedi as one objective of his life. But having seen his information before hand, Granta Omega has many business’s, many home world’s, and working alongside Jedi Jocasta Nu, the Jedi Librarian, who is Granta Omega is the question we all want to know? the second Planet is Nier Seven, Granta Omega’s original home world, while Anakin has a few lessons with Soara Antana. Where he thinks he can impress her…but can he?

This book was amazing, yet again a great book to have reviewed, so there is only one con:

Con 1: Darra Thel-Tanis is only mentioned in a few medical parts where Anakin Skywalker feels guilty of getting her into this mess.

Star Wars: Jedi Quest, Book 4: The Master of Disguise series Star War

The story was nothing special. It wasn’t bad, just average. Overall, it was nothing we haven’t read previously. It did set up some plot points for future novels, so hopefully those will pan out well.
The characters were very well done however. Jude has a gift for writing Anakin. The turmoil and conflict inside him is very interesting.
The villain in the story is also very likable. He is a much better bad guy than Xanatos was in the Jedi Apprentice series.

Audiobook Star Wars: Jedi Quest, Book 4: The Master of Disguise by Troy Denning

I am enjoying the Jedi Quest series and this book was another chapter in the story. I am in a hurry to finish this series, as I always want to have the whole story read. Another great book. With plenty of action and excitement. It makes me feel like I’m reading a movie. Going to have to read the next book.

Audio Star Wars: Jedi Quest, Book 4: The Master of Disguise narrated by Marc Thompson

The fourth book in the Jedi Quest is full of action. Obi Wan and his Padawan Anakyn are on another mission. They are on the trail of Granta Omega. This is a must read in the Star Wars: Jedi Quest series.

I’ve said it before but the old legends knew how to take a tale and give it part action, part character development, and part relevant issues. Once more the master of disguise adds to anakin and Obi-wan’s training years, expanding on Anakin’s struggles, while helping push Obi-Wan into new realms of doubt and trials. With an underlying villain that connects them, and a mystery that continues to connect to the old series, Jude Watson does not stumble in this book about a young Jedi’s quest to prove himself. Though still predictable and needing more expansion, the book is perfect for young readers to get into the star wars universe the way Lucas and the fan base wanted. Give this one a try!
