This book takes a young woman who has been abused and raped and throws her into a life with a man who seems okay but hurting…..only to further victimize her by raping her. I deleted the book at that scene, I couldn\’t bare to see her forgive and fall in love with him! This is not romance!

Any additional comments? This is an excellently written novel that represents Sandra Brown at her best. This romantic mystery is also a wonderfully crafted western that takes place on a wagon train. The story unfolds with unexpected twists that involve people with deep and painful secrets that are central to the plot. The love story is sensuous, yet poignant. Ellen Archer\’s narration is superb, with convincing distinction among the characters. Great audiobook!

How many times can a woman hear a man she desires call her a whore and a piece of trash and never stand up for herself? Jeez the female lead is a joke and the male lead is allowed to rape and verbally abuse the female lead and she still wants him. Sick.

I have never read a book with the word breast and nipple was used so extensively and so inappropriately period in the middle of gun fight, 3 minutes describing a woman\’s breast. way over the top and almost a worthless read.
