The Alice Network is a genre fiction novel. It is written by Kate Quinn. She is a prolific American writer and is mainly known for her historical fiction novels. The Rose Code is one of her excellent novels with a very good story and a cast of characters. Ribbons of Scarlet is a collection of short fictional stories from the author and it will make an exciting listening experience as well.
The narration of this book is done by Saskia Maarleveld. The narrator has got a kind of voice that is very enjoyable for the listeners. She was phenomenal with the different accents and also ensured that pronunciation throughout stays up to the mark. She also ensured to have distinct voices for the distinct characters.

It is 1947 and an American college girl in the aftermath of WWII gets pregnant without marrying. She is on the brink of being thrown out of her family. She was also having a very desperate hope that Rose, her cousin might still be alive. She got disappeared in France under Nazi occupation during the war. Therefore, when the parents of Charlie deport her to Europe to taken care of her ‘little problem’, Charlie soon heads to London after getting break free. He was extremely determined to find out that what exactly had happened to her cousin whom she loves so much and just like her sister.
The story idea of this book is quite awesome. It was unique and enjoyable. The author was excellent in switching between different stories within and tying them all quite nicely as well. The performance by Saskia was top of the line as well.
