The Friendship List audiobook free
I love a book that revolves around friendship. Throw in some romance, interesting secondary characters, some humor and a reasonable storyline and I am hooked. This was not that book for me. Ellen is a single mom and has raised a terrific son, but in all other parts of her life she hit pause and has remained there for 17 years. Unity is a widow and is has not moved on from the day she found out her beloved husband was killed. Theyre childhood friends who are more like sisters so accept who and where they are and dont push each other too hard to move forward. After some gentle and some not so gentle loving prodding they both change in moments in very unrealistic and immature ways. I like all of the supporting characters and was happy for the expected ending, but I am a its the journey not the destination kind of reader. I didnt really enjoy this journey. I know I am in the minority, so if youre as big a fan of this author read it anyway or youll feel like you missed out on something.

I am a big fan of Susan Mallory and have read most of her books. I couldnt even finish this one. I kept waiting for it to get betterand I got about 60% through itbut it didnt. I just found the idea of two young women stuck in place for so long implausible and what transpired afterwards was too predictable.

I am a fan of Susan Mallery, but not this book. There didnt seem to be an interesting plot. The women characters were weak and dramatic for no good reasons. Without giving away the plot or any of the unnecessary fear and drama, I will say if you are expecting a typical good story from this author you will be disappointed.

I have read several books from Susan Mallary but listening to one on Audible was even better. This book makes you realize how important friends are and that they enhance our life along each step we take.
