The Project

One of the worst books I have read. Dumb premise, abysmal characters, foolish ending. Ridiculous.

We are supposed to accept how the character, Lo (short for Gloria) spoke to her boss. She was a lowly receptionist but their interaction would have found her out of a job.

No clear explanation as to why the sisters, both suffering from a severe shock of losing both parents, have kept away from one another for a period of 6 years while all the time expressing how much they love and need none another.

I wish I could get my money back on this one. AWFUL! Made absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Wow. What a great book. I could not put it down. I read the book in 3 days..if you like to read about cults and what they do to people…then this is for you. Great book. Interesting characters.

After reading SADIE I knew I wanted to read the next release by Courtney Summers… as soon as I heard THE PROJECT was coming out, I was thrilled. I love reading about cults, mystery, danger, and psychological storylines.

I was not disappointed.

Summers did a fantastic job writing the story to keep you consistently guessing what might be going on and who we should be keeping a closer eye on. I love the character development, the dual POV, and the feeling of unease as I am reading the book. I felt like this book would be great for a mini series.

I will most definitely be keeping an eye out for any more of her future releases and may start reading more of her older works.

I read about 60% of this book and that took me a couple of weeks. I couldn`t read any more. All the characters were either annoying, pathetic, or sad (that all describes the main character). A woman decides she wants to join religious group after her sister almost dies, but then she cuts her sister out of her life (stupid). There are many other types of this stupidity in the book. Could not finish it.

Religious cult book. Meh characters it is all over the place was hard to get through didn’t want to finish it but, the last 4 parts were f’ed up yet I couldn’t put it down. I know what and how it was going to play out for Bea but how things turned out for Lo I don’t see coming. It was an infuriating read I’m not a religious person don’t want anything to do with it and hated to read this but nonetheless it wasn’t to bad.
