I\’ve read all the books in this series and have liked them to the point that I bought without reading any reviews. Not doing that again. What\’s with the resolves nothing finish? Books not selling as well? The Longmire series did the same thing a year or so ago. The next one didn\’t; so maybe he learned his lesson; don\’t gyp your customers. I don\’t read these novels so I can get some doofus\’s political opinions on the side. I\’ve already discarded authors who do this and I\’ll cut loose of this one if I read a review where it\’s happened again. Jerry Seinfeld is a brilliant comedian and a liberal. We love him. He is plenty smart enough not to bleed that drivel into his comedy. It only makes sense. Why piss off half your potential audience? Clearly, Ace Atkins isn\’t as smart.

The Shameless audiobook in series Quinn Colson
Cliffhanger endings may be OK on TV, but not for a one book a year series. I already was thinking of putting Atkin\’s Colson series on probation (no preorders and wait until there are lots of reviews) because I grew tired of the excessive foul language. I regret not reading more reviews before I bought The Shameless and wasted 2 days reading it, only to be blindsided by the abrupt ending. I resent cliffhangers as a cheap stunt and even more so now at an age that I may not be around for the next installment. So 2 stars for failing my trust that an author would deliver a satisfying entertainment for my money. Goodbye Atkins.

Audiobook The Shameless by Ace Atkins
I waited months for this book and it is good, but now you have to wait months for the next book in the series to find out what happens. Like a soap opera on tv. Disappointing.

Audio The Shameless narrated by Jeff Woodman
Waited patiently for this book and it was really a great book. Love catching up with Quinn, Boom and Caddy and love Maggie. I don’t like the “to be continued” ending. James Patterson started doing that and I no longer buy his books. Let each book stand on its own!! When I buy a book I want to finish that particular story and then wait on the next book. I will buy the next one but if this is a new thing for Ace Atkins then it will be the last one I buy in this series. Hoping he hasn’t done the same with the next Spenser book which I have pre-ordered!!

I waited for months for this. I pre-ordered. The mailman delivered it Saturday afternoon, and I read it straight through. And it\’s just a placeholder that doesn\’t resolve. I was expecting slam/bang final chapters, not TO BE CONTINUED
