The Slow Regard of Silent Things
Patrick Rothfuss himself did the narration of this novel. The performance was not right up to the mark. On top of that, there were some recording issues as well where breathing at times was audible. That was a bit distracting and made the narration below average overall.
There is a dark space somewhere deep below the university. A few people were aware of the broken web of the abandoned rooms and the ancient passageways. A young woman was living in that place and was all tucked among the rambling passageways of the Underthing. The name of that young woman was Auri and she was full of mysteries.
The book is a non-narrative kind of poetry. It is a flowery description of the day and personality of a person. The book will provide a good insight into the personality of Auri, who is the prime protagonist here. However, the book doesn’t tell any sort of backstory who Auri is and why she has left for the sake of under-thing and all.
