Recursion is a suspense mystery thriller novel. It is written by Blake Crouch. He is an American writer and best known for his Wayward Pines Trilogy. The same series was also adapted in the 2015 TV series with the name of Wayward Pines. Pines and Dark Matter are the best novels that Blake Crouch has written so far.
Jon Lindstrom and Abby Craden gave the narration of this novel. The dual narrator approach worked well for this novel, which was especially due to the dual perspective of the tale of this book. The pacing is quite quick but something that you will like.
Recursion
At first, it seemed to be another disease. It was an epidemic that spread viciously through means that were not known to anyone. The disease left all its victims mad with memories of a type of a life that they have never lived actually. But, that force that is sweeping the entire world is no pathogen. It is the shock wave and it got unleashed through an incredible discovery.
Detective Barry Sutton in New York City is closing on reality. Helena Smith, a neuroscientist in a remote laboratory is completely unaware that she holds the key to this weird mystery all alone. She also had all the tools that were required for fighting back. Barry and Helena have a task in their hand to fight together with their enemy.
Recursion has a slower start, especially till the first quarter. It picks up well from there onwards and will never let you go. The narration by the duo is perfect and this is something that will push me to listen to it again and again.
