The Time Traveler’s Wife
Henry and Clare have known each other since Clare was only six years old and Henry was 36. They got married when Clare turned 23 and Henry was 31 years old. This is impossible but it is true. It is because Henry was diagnosed with the weird Chrono-Displacement Disorder. It was a disease that reset his genetic clock and Henry was just displaced in time. He was pulled into challenging moments that were full of emotional gravity from his own life that included both his past and future life. The disappearances of Henry were spontaneous, all his different experiences were unpredictable and it was alternately amusing and harrowing.
The story of both the characters includes two perspectives; it depicts the time travel effects of their marriage and also their extreme love for each other.
You might not be able to say that this book is a perfect fictional work, but it will be something worth your time. The story in this book is unique, fresh, and well-executed. The book won the Alex Award in 2004 as well.
