This is why we read Agatha Christie\’s books…I was completely off guard. Miss Marple..who was just sitting there knitting away was so much astute than the rest of the group. As the story was being laid out by Mr. Henry..we knew the husband Killed his wife..but HOW. Then it comes out, exp!aimed quite crafty by Miss Marple.

The Tuesday Club Murders audiobook in series Miss Marple

This first appearance of Miss Marple sets her up perfectly as an elderly lady whom others tend to overlook, yet those sharp eyes and that razor of a brain mean she doesn\’t miss a thing. She\’s always able to use someone in St. Mary Mead as an example of why she could figure something out– which leads me to think that that little village is much wilder and woolier than Miss Marple would like anyone to know!

Audiobook The Tuesday Club Murders by Agatha Christie

Very fun short story written by Dame Agatha in 1927. It\’s the story of a group of people, including Miss Marple and her nephew Raymond who is a mystery writer, sitting around telling a tale of a murder they knew about and the others have to guess the culprit. It happens the head of Scotland Yard is there and he recalls an unexplained death. Of course, Miss Marple remembers a similar case and figures it out. These are quite fun and enjoyable. I couldn\’t figure it out, but it made sense a tad when Miss Marple explained it. Christie based Miss Marple on her grandmother when she got tired of Poirot.

Audio The Tuesday Club Murders narrated by Richard E. Grant

Enjoyed reading the 1st mystery by Agatha Christie. Of course, I did not figure out the guilty party. As with many of her novels, I went back and forth guessing, but was wrong ea. time.
