When Truth worked for me, it really worked. In the moments it didnt, I was still invested enough in the story to keep pushing through. The plotting was good; it was some of the characterizations and editing that left something on the table, for me. My very favorite part of Truth was the juxtaposition of the two relationships Drew experiences. They served to show the difference in someone exerting control over a person for their own satisfaction and giving up power to someone because you trust them and they will only use that control to empower you. So often control-exchange novels dont have the first example to highlight the differences and can come across differently than intended. I felt like having the emotionally abusive relationship with Nick touched on at the beginning of the book really helped to enhance how supportive and mutually satisfying the relationship with Dominic was. For all the things that didnt quite work for me in Truth, I still found the premise and plot fascinating and was invested in making sure Drew and Dominic found their happily ever after. Ms. Pucci also made the supporting characters and the world shes begun building in this series compelling enough I am eagerly anticipating the next book in the series. My first wish for Truth would be another editing pass. There werent a ton of issues, but there were some minor grammatical issues and several instances of stilted dialogue and descriptions. I also felt the characters had some serious problems with consistency. Their personalities and voices seemed all over the place, and it made it hard for me to fully connect with them since I had no idea who they were going to be in the next scene. Truth is the first book in Trilina Puccis Sinful series. These books are slated to be interconnected standalones, as far as I can tell. I believe there will be an overarching storyline that will make more sense if the series is read in order, but each couples story seems to be contained in a single novel. Truth is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Drew and Dominic.

Truth!!! Book One, based on one of the seven deadly sins, Lust, and I\’ve died all the deads! I am enthralled and looking forward to more from Trilina Pucci! She\’s a new to me author and as far as being my first read from her, it certainly will not be my last! I was so drawn in to how Drew Matthews found her way to her bad add self! I loved her! There were times when she was with Nick that I was wondering what she was thinking putting up with him but then I understood how she got so wrapped up in pleasing him she lost herself. And eventually with Dominic King? Oh my King!!! Such an alpha, devil, sinful- I love him. She found her true self and I\’m so glad they found their way back to each other and found more than lust. To me, they\’re the dynamic duo! You have to read this beautiful beginning to what is to be an epic series! Looking forward to Luca next!

Audiobook Truth by Trilina Pucci
After getting the job of her dreams, Drew decides its time to go for more in her life. With that in mind she meets Nick who appears to be everything a girl could want. However, after a year together its obvious that is not the case. With a lot of back and forth and, in my opinion, too much time spent on this relationship, the story moves forward and Drew is pulled into Dominic Kings world. This is where things start to get interesting. King is a man to fear and for good reason. When he sees Drew for the first time he wants her immediately. Fortunately, with a sex club as their meeting place, she is titillated and allows her to lead her to his private room. What follows is twenty-four hours together with lots of sex and some time spent getting to know one another before their conflict arises. I didnt love this book, but I did find it to be okay. I felt as though both Drew and Kings characters were inconsistent in their development which affected my overall feelings. However, there was a lot of hot and steamy scenes so if thats your thing then youll definitely enjoy this. There is a bit of drama at the end as well as some secondary character development that helped to add to the dangerous vibe regarding King. I must confess I felt that these latter scenes were trying too hard too late in the story and I wouldve liked to have seen more of this dark side of King earlier in the book. Dual POV

Audio Truth narrated by Kelsey Navarro Troy Duran
** spoiler alert ** The romance is insta-love, but that was in the synopsis or somewhere I read about the book, so I really can\’t complain. I thought it was interesting that it did not seem to take much time for Drew (the main girl) to recover from her abusive relationship once she decided to end it. While I am glad there were not many negative effects on her after the fact, I don\’t think that is realistic. I also did not think it was fair for King to expect her to jump into a serious relationship immediately after she decided to end the abusive one. Give the girl some time and space to get to know you and herself again! I liked how fierce they were together, though; Drew and King really did complement each other. But at the end, the story became about Luca and his time in a hospital, and since he already has his own book in the series, I don\’t know why the end of Drew and King\’s had to be about him. I thought the epilogue was super rushed, jumping forward in time and BAM children everywhere. Like geez they didn\’t want time just for the two of them? King did not seem like the fatherly type, so that was jarring. Not saying people can\’t change, but that was a big 180. I am looking forward to Luca and Gretchen\’s story though, as I am totally curious how that will work since Luca is married.

I have one thing to say to the author – my ovaries salute you! Emergawd, seriously! *wafts hands* If its possible, metaphorically speaking, for a book to blow your tonsils out then thats exactly what Truth did to me *smirks* Whaaa? Too much? *pinches fingers* *shrugs* Whatevs! I apologise for nothing. Its all true – see what I did there? *snorts* Who the f#@k are you? … Im the one. Ooohh Dominic, you are, you soooo are *sighs* I hesitate to call Dominic a BBF because let me tell you, he aint no boy. Nu-uh, Dominic is all M-A-N. Ah flip, Im panting just thinking about it. Phew! Ill admit Im a sucker for a bad boy, but Dominic takes this to the edge and beyond. This is a man who lives firmly in the grey *winks* Put it this way, Im convinced youd feel the air shift if this man walked into a room. Drew is at a crossroads in her life when she meets the enigmatic, Dominic. One night changes everything. Planets shift, stars realign. Yet, Drew is determined to protect her heart. But, how can you protect something that no longer belongs to you? Hes my purpose and Im his salvation. I really need to find some new synonyms, but I devoured this book. All sense of time and place evaporated as I was transported within the pages of Drew and Dominics story. It consumed me. I didnt know where to look on occasion and felt the want to apologise *sings* Awk-ward *snorts* Told in dual POV, we get to experience all the highs and lows that goes with this story. You know whats coming, dont you? *points finger* Yup, youve guessed it – I laughed, cried, swooned, had more hot-flashes than I could count, and to top it all off, swore like a trooper *hangs head* What can I say? Potty mouth, thy name is Laura *giggles* One final (cryptic) thought – I have never wanted to go to church so much in my life *winks* My truth is simple – this story left me breathless.
