Three to Ride (Nights in Bliss, Colorado #1)

Lexi Blake, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways Im gonna tell you after this book I have to add at least three, but when I think about the secondary and tertiary characters, there are several more Im sure Ill be adding to the list. Even if Bliss was, perhaps, the most bizarre town Ive ever read about, Three to Ride was a fascinating story and the idea of living in a place where everyone accepts everyone else without judgment was wonderful.

Three to Ride is the first book in Lexi Blakes Nights in Bliss, Colorado series. These books were originally published under the pen name Sophie Oak and have been re-edited with content added. Three to Ride is written in third-person semi-omniscient perspective. The narrator follows a number of characters including, but not limited to, Rachel, Max, and Rye.

As always with Lexi Blakes books, Three to Ride is far more than an erotic mnage novel. It was a story of acceptance, strength, and learning to love and trust yourself, despite the misgivings of others. It was full of suspense and hurt, and had me bawling during the prologue. Rachels story was heartbreaking, especially since it didnt feel like fiction at all. Far too often women all over the world find themselves in the same position and not all of them have a team of guardian angels working to give them a new start in life.

I found Ryes part in the relationship both intriguing and frustrating, which I am sure was the point. I loved how much chemistry he and Rachel had before they were anything beyond two people who cared deeply for Max. It made the transition from a two-person relationship to a mnage feel much more natural. There was never any question, to me, that the three of them all needed one another and despite how the relationship began and everyones reservations about asking for everything, theyd all realize they werent complete without the other half of Max.

Im full-blown obsessed with everything Lexi Blake writes. Im slowly making through her backlist, and Im ecstatic to have the opportunity to read these previously published titles as theyre re-released with additional content. Her writing feels different from almost anything else Ive read, and her characters are all so intriguing. I love how flawed they are, yet each of them possesses an undeniable strength that is unencumbered by their shortcomings.

What happens you run for your life? You land in a little town named Bliss Colorado.
Elizabeth Courtney runs for her life from an ex, but he is only an ex in his mind, because she only dated him once.
Tommy is a cop and when he burns down her house with her in it. She has filed compliant after compliant with no success.

When she arrives in Bliss she is now Rachel Smith. She has no money and is dropped of at the diner by the resident alien crazy Mel.

Stella takes one look at her and the mother hen comes out. She is hired as a waitress and the first thing she does is set Max Harper on his ass. Maxwell Harper is big and has a nasty temper but under Rd chef’s hand he is a pussy cat.

Everyone in Bliss know that Max and his twin Rye share everything including women. But will that happen with Rachel? As the whole town drops hints about the two guys, but she hasn’t met Rye because he is the sheriff and currently at a convention.

Rachel definitely doesn’t like law enforcement, can Rye win her over? When Max gets shot and his sister arrives Brooke and Rachel square off. Who wins, well you need to read the book. I would give it 5/5 stars. I totally loved it.

This is a re-release of Three to Ride. I loved this book the first time I read it and loved it even more this time. This mnage has so much heart, humour, suspense and sacrifice. These three are perfect for each other.

Rachel is a strong character that has an incredible will to survive. Though her life is thrown into complete turmoil she manages to find the good in people, even those who have a gruff exterior (a.k.a Max). She just has to get past the fact the Maxs brother is the sheriff in Bliss.

Max has got the entire town of Bliss fooled into thinking he is this short tempered and bad behaved man. It just takes the right woman to show who the real Max is.

I love Rye. He is Maxs twin and he is willing to sacrifice the type of relationship he would have with the woman of his dreams and his brother. Rye wants to make sure the Max is happy.

Lexi writes so much depth into each character. Bliss may be a fictional place but after reading these books it seems so real. And I love the additions she made to the story. I love the blending of the Masters and Mercenaries into this series.

This is an exciting story about a young woman with a stalker and the men she meets that can help her. It’s a fun, mysterious, and exciting book.

Liz “Rachel” is a woman that is being hunted by a cop. He wants her dead. He feels that she was playing hard to get when really she was trying to let him down easily. When she changes her name and ends up in Bliss, CO all the rules change. She is pursued by twin brothers Ryan and Max Harper. She starts dating Max, the bad boy around town for his temper. When she hears that the twins usually share a woman between them she is intrigued.

Max has been on his own for many years other than the women that Ryan “Rye” is able to bring home. He hasn’t been happy with any of them. While at the town diner he starts in on the owner about his eggs being runny yet again when a young woman steps in and tells him off about the way he’s treating the owner. He hasn’t had anyone tell him about his temper because he is usually too scarry to talk to when he’s mad.

Rye is the town sheriff and he is an all around good ole boy. He took the job when his parents died and someone had to have a job to support their little sister and he knew that Max would never hold down a job off the ranch. Rye is in love with Rachel but his brother isn’t sharing and this is not normal for them. He has to face the fact that he maybe left out of his brother’s love life and therefore his life since Rye can’t watch them together with out him there too.

So glad I bought this series, brilliant…..
On to the next one!!
