I’m so depressed right now, whew.

This book waseverything.I laughed, I cried, I smiled, I wanted to die a little. But ultimately, it left me feeling so hopeful.

“I, Willow Hale, am a risk taker. A challenge seeker. I see that now. I feel it deep in my bones.

And I want someone with me, always, to face risks together.

I want Garrison. For as long as I can have him.”

There will never be another couple so perfect for each other. Willow and Garrison shouldn’t make sense, but they fit so well. They complete each other in such a beautiful way. They’re patient with each other, they support one another. They were two lost people who happened to find each other exactly when they needed someone.

I won’t say much about the plot. You don’t have to ready any of KB’s other series to read this, but you do need to read book 1 of this duet.WYApicks up right after WITleft off. Garrison is in a really bad place emotional and mentally. Willow is trying to navigate college, her long distance relationship with Garrison, and keep her friendships alive.

“‘Wherever you are, no matter if it’s right next to me or a thousand miles away,’ I say, ‘I’m tied to you with a tread that can’t break. We’re connect by some thing stronger than time or place.'”

Like I said, the romance is amazing. This is KBs sweetest and softest couple ever, and I very much doubt they’ll write another couple like this soon. But beyond the romance, the sibling relationship between Willow, Lo, and Ryke was amazing. Each relationship was different, but no less special.

Daisy and Willow are my favorite friendship ever. They are so cute, I’d take an entire book just based on their friendship. Also, seeing Garrison slowly get closer to Connor, Ryke, and Loren was beautiful. Seeing him accept the fact that he does deserve respect and love and kindness brought tears to my eyes.

“Connor, Ryke, and Lothey protect me all the time. They care about me when they dont have to. These are three brothers that Id never trade in, never swap out, and even though were not blood related, I know theyre mine.”

I wouldn’t change one thing about this book. I have an epic book hangover right now. I literally finished the book not one hour ago. I have no idea what I’m going to do with the rest of my day.

3.5 stars. Not as good as the first and I have a big issue with this book.

The most annoying thing I experienced with this book was the repetitiveness. I don’t know if it is supposed to be a trait with these characters or if the authors had a lot of brain blocks when writing this, but the constant repeats were annoying.

Willow had “giddy smiles” on her face and experienced “giddiness” more than any character from a book I read. She…or the authors also had an annoying habit of full out listing the core six whenever they were mentioned. The sentence would go something like “all of them, Lo and Lily, Rose and Connor, Ryke and Daisy.” or “the six of them, Lo and Lily, Rose and Connor, Ryke and Daisy.”

I was constantly reminded that Daisy is her best friend as well Okay, I get it, Rose is an ice queen and Lily is just as awkward with you so you connect with Daisy.

And I’m pretty sure the twins have new fans who probably read the books any way they want but as someone who has been reading from the start, constantly being reminded of things I already knew from the previous books was annoying. But now that I think about it, they weren’t completely writing these books like they were telling it to someone who would be reading it for the first time because they never bothered to add the years the “back then” and “present-day” chapters to avoid confusion. I almost whipped out Fuel the Fire, Long Way Down and Some Kind of Perfect just get a better idea of when things were happening.

Maybe one twin is repetitive and the other is behind the Connor Cobalt character because I refuse to believe that one or both twins were able to make a witty character like Connor but then fail on their vocabulary. In the epilogue chapter “my thirteen-year-old” is said three times.

My child
Our daughter
My kid

But I guess Connor had left the building by then and didn’t want to help them with vocab expansion. Of course, he did. I did read the repetitiveness that is the Like Us series. He abandoned them after Some Kind of Perfect because that is when things started to slip.

As for the characters themselves, I don’t hate them as much but reading this duet did not make me want to go back and read all the scenes they were in. It was nice to see things from their point of view as it helped make more sense why and how they connected with each other.

After chapter 21 the story started to feel rushed as well jumping a year later. You get 7 chapters from “back then” and then on chapter 29 in the present, it’s 2021 when chapter 21 was in 2020. Maybe if they made the first book longer, the second wouldn’t need to be rushed. There certainly could have been room for a third book and this be a trilogy but whatever as Garrison says.

Audiobook Wherever You Are (Bad Reputation Duet #2) by Becca Ritchie Krista Ritchie

I didn’t love this like I loved the first novel in the series. I find Willow annoying at times. There were parts of the story that were too sickly sweet for me. I loved Garrison and the other characters. 3-3.5 stars.

Audio Wherever You Are (Bad Reputation Duet #2) narrated by Charlotte North Cooper North

I was both exited and scared to read this one after how the first book ended. Wherever You Are is the second book about Willow and Garreth. It continues where the first book ended and they’re doing the whole long distance relationship.

I felt so bad for Garreth. He has gone such a long way since he bullied our core six. He finally realized how toxic his family is and despite his insecurities he never did the Angel move aka leaving someone he loves for their “own good”. I loved seeing him finally accept that he deserves to have people besides Willow care for him and I especially loved seeing his relationships develop with Lo (who he sees as a superhero), Connor and Ryker. But what I absolutely loved, was how he was with Moffy.

Garreth and Willow are so different but at the same time they’re the same. Neither think they deserve the other and I just love that he’s the bad boy and she’s the good girl. I usually hate flashbacks but the ones in this series just give such an inside to their relationship. He always thought about her needs first and he was so patient with her. Krista and Becca Ritchie just write friends to lovers so well that even I can’t help but love them.

I don’t know which couple in this universe is my favorite anymore, Garreth and Willow or Lily and Loren.

All in all I couldn’t put the book down but there were so many scenes I already knew because of Some Kind of Perfect. I just love how this book was about found family. Willow and Garreth both lost their families (both families can burn in hell) but they gained new ones. Not just with Calloway sisters but also with each other. I just wish we had actually seen some scenes where their “old families” see how happy they are or even actual talk instead of just suddenly disappearing from their lives.

As a huge huge HUGE fan of the addicted/Calloway sisters/like us series, I knew going into this duet was going to be spectacular.

Although I read the web series, nothing prepared me for their story being told.

Garrison and Willow are the complete opposite. In pretty much every way. Sure, shes the typical Nerdy shy introverted book worm and hes the typical bad boy with tattoos and a bad attitude. BUT, they are SO much more.

Their story doesnt have the normal issues, most high schoolers have. From long lost family, to abusive brothers, these two meet and became each others people.

There are certain parts of the book, where I broke into full on sobs. Being reunited with previous characters you absolutely ADORE, you do feel a sense of peace.

Garrison isnt the typical bad boy, he isnt even a jerk. Hes the most selfless, loving human being. He knows hes done wrong, and he owns it. He changes his life because he knows hes going down a bad path. And no matter what or who try to bring him down, he looks to his one friend in life.

Willow is the nicest person in the world. Her heart is literally as big as the sun. She sets off on an adventure, and not only finds herself, but finds out the true meaning of family.

I couldnt not recommend this book!!!

They have become my second fav couple, right next to Lo Lily

Well done, props to the authors
