Sawyer Bennett’s Wicked Horse series is one of the best and hottest she’s written. So when it ended, I was sad to see it go, but I was stoked when she announced the Wicked Horse Vegas! Similar concept in one of the flashiest, sexiest cities in the country.

Jerico Jameson is the owner of the Wicked Horse Vegas and he’s about as alpha as they come. He’s former military and he still does some work for the government through his other business, The Jameson Group and he’s bitter. He’s a man that was hurt very deeply by the woman he loved and a man who he thought was a good friend. After that, he shut down the part of him that does relationships and all he focuses on now is the pleasure he can get every night at the Wicked Horse from different people – he never does repeats.

Trista Barnes needs help and she happens to be the sister of the man that wronged Jerico. She has stepped up to help her family out when no one else would, but now she’s in a situation where she owes a great sum of money, but she just doesn’t have it and her window to pay it back is shrinking. Her brother has told her to speak to Jerico, who owes him a favor, and he should be able to help. When Trista approaches Jerico she really has no idea what she’s getting into, she just knows that he is going to be able to help. Jerico gives her a job for a month in exchange for the money he will give her to pay off her debt. Seems simple, but is it really?

As Trista learns not only about her new tasks at work, she also learns about the lifestyle at the Wicked Horse and she’s definitely intrigued. Jerico is also intrigued by Trista; intrigued in a way that he hasn’t been since his former fiancee. The two enter into an agreement for sex where Jerico can teach Trista all about life at the club and it provides a way for Jerico to get revenge on Trista’s brother for his past wrongs. The only question is will this plan succeed or will it end up blowing up in Jerico’s face?

This book is a sexy slow burn that is full of chemistry and is sizzling hot! Sawyer Bennett continues to hit it out of the park with these books and I can’t wait for the next one!

First let me start off by saying that I am a huge fan of the original Wicked Horse series. I mean a huge fan. I loved everything about that series. I was excited about the prospect of more Wicked. This book for me was just okay. The sex and naughtiness I absolutely loved. My problem is I spent 70-75% of this book not liking Jerico. I do not want to give away any specific spoilers, but I will say that I really felt for what happened to him, I just did not like what his solution was going to be to try and exact some payback. I did end up liking him but the book was almost over at that point. Having said all of that I still think if you are a fan of the original Wicked Horse series you should give it a go because this is only my opinion and like I said the sexiness and the naughtiness was great. Even with this book having just been okay for me, I still think I want to continue reading the series.

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS – The angst in this book is very high & it tears our couple apart for a bit, but the sex, oh man, the hot sex is stuff of fantasies! Jerico is the owner of the new Wicked Horse franchise in Vegas. Sweet girl Trista shows up at the club out of the blue saying her brother Jayce saved his life & he’s calling in a favor. Trista is selfless & sweet & will do anything for her sick niece, while Jerico is wringing his hands & laughing about using footage from the club to break Jayce once & for all, by using Trista in the worst way. He even tries to humiliate Trista, push her boundaries in his club & he finds she is highly aroused by what she sees & likewise he can’t get enough of seeing Trista out of her clothes. All of the sexual action is beyond hot, with men holding her legs & touching her with Jerico being the star of the show & then bam, we hate Jerico again because he continues pursuing his revenge. Trista is exactly what Jerico needs – a gorgeous body, an open mind sexually, funny, smart & loving. Jerico pays her the highest compliment when he says, “I swear I think I could actually sit down & have an actual conversation with you.” His one night stands must not involve any other interaction which is terrible. My favorite scene in the book is with Jerico’s best friend Kynan, all tattoos & muscles with a hot British accent, Jerico & Trista. Trista is honest about what she is dying to experience, pushing Jerico’s boundaries to the limit. Very, very, very super hot!! The big turning point for Jerico? When Trista remembers something simple he told her he likes & she fulfills his desires in a small domestic way, like a girlfriend, just because she thought of him. Then the big angst begins & his plan goes down the tubes. We knew from the beginning Trista was a pawn & her heart would be left in pieces. Did I mention the sex? So unbelievably erotic!

I am fascinated by how many different genres Sawyer Bennett can write, as each time I read one of her books, I think it is the best thing I have read, and then she writes another book in another sub genre. This book is her erotic sub genre of which there is an entire series. This book is a spinoff to the original “Wicked” series but it is a total standalone. Jericho and Trista fit! He owns a sex club in Vegas and has a bad history with Trista’s brother. She is in need of a favor and hopes he will help! I enjoyed the depth of their relationship and how it was handled. I loved the conflict and the resolution, and as always, I love her character development. I am almost at a loss how to describe what a wonderful storyteller she is and so far there hasn’t been a book of hers I haven’t read. Definitely another 5 star read for me!

Throughly enjoyed reading this! Jericho the hot alpha male was strong, devious but caring at the same time. Trista was the damsel in distress, she had to care for her sick niece, which is why she had to borrow from a ‘loan shark’ but unable to make payments – she had to turn to one person she hasn’t even met before but is drawn into his mysterious naughty ways…. there a couple of twists but great HEA.
