Wizard’s First Rule is an epic fantasy by Terry Goodkin. A first book in the series of The Sword of Truth, and was then adopted in the 2008 television series, Legend of The Seeker. The story reveals the Wizard’s First Rule, an extraordinary principle that allows Wizards to be slick manipulators of the world around them. There are three parts of the known world divided by magical underworld boundaries.
First is Westland, it is a united world below one government and there is not a single magic. D’Hara, on the other hand, is a single Kingdom ruled by Wizards. Another alliance of sovereign nations with magic is the world of Midlands.
WIZARD’S FIRST RULE
The story of Wizard’s First Rule started in Westland where Richard Cypher lives a primary protagonist and works as a wood guide through dangerous forests. He then meets a woman named Kahlan Amnell, who is being hunted by her assassinator. He lends a helping hand to save Kahlan’s life from the men and he takes her to his mentor friend, Zedd. Zedd is the one who treated Richard’s illness that was caused by the vine, he was the one who identifies the plant as a snakevine. Khalan suspects that the seeker empowered by the Sword of Truth can find a way to stop Rahl from acquiring power on the winter solstice. This is the reason behind Kahlan who asks Zedd to name a Seeker of Truth to oppose D’Hara who started the powerful magic, Boxes of Orden that could destroy the existence on earth.
In the Minland, Richard and Kahlan developed their feelings with each other, which they keep as a secret to Mud people. These two persuade them that they are ethical and seek to help all humans which includes the Mud tribe. Richard and Kahlan then travel to Shota’s land, one of the most feared people in all the Midlands. They travel to Tamarang, and find out that the last box is gone.
The story continues with confrontation about the missing box.
