I was looking for a lighthearted romance novel. Terribly disappointed because this book was not it. I have to admit, I have to admit that at first I was intrigued by the title and the plot. However, after getting into the book, I discovered that the leading man in this story was an egotistical, narcissistic, user. Not to mention a first class jerk. I was totally turned off by the graphic sexual descriptions and how this guy,Seth talked about how big he was , etc. That seduction scene at the hotel was the last straw. That is not romance! It is pornography and lust trying to pass itself off as romance, and failing miserably. Also, a classic example of a male thinking with the brainless head. His wants and needs are all that matter. At this point, I don\’t even care how the story ends, and I won\’t be reading any other books in this series or by this writer.

The blurb of asking your best friend to have your baby is what got me to buy this book and to look into and purchase the rest of the series. But the actual story was a mess of mixed up people giving mixed signals and all around insulting treatment of each other. The male leads Seth makes a contract to basically buy a baby off of his supposed best friend. Never once does it even occur to him how insulting and elitist this is. It also doesnt occur to him or the female lead Ally that this is her FIRST child and you would be stealing that baby off her like Rumpelstiltskin for the cost of a favor! Instead the author had these too dance around each other to realize that they actually love each other. Seth eventually realizes that she would never just give up a baby. But honestly, I felt he didnt even know Ally to have made such an outlandish suggestion to begin with. It came off like he wanted to use her, and thats not true friendship is it. As for Ally who was reeling from the death of her mother, I didnt find her to be to bright. She was 29 years old and had never had a chance to grow her life. She was her mothers care giver since her early teens and then the substitute mother for her best firends baby.

Audiobook Have My Baby (Crescent Cove #1) by Taryn Quinn
Have My Baby is not what I expected, it was so much more!! Seth is a single dad, who doesn\’t really trust women after being burned, and he wants another baby. Enter Ally, his best friend since high school, who has been in love with him all these years, not that he ever knew this. Who better to ask to have your baby, right? I absolutely loved Set and Ally. They were truly always there for each other and the banter between them had me laughing. They also have this really amazing chemistry and gave us some really steamy sexy times. Another thing I liked about this book was the secondary characters, Laurie, Sage and Oliver. Sage is Ally\’s bestie and she doesn\’t hold anything back. Oliver is Seth\’s twin is absolutely hysterical…..I sense some chemistry between these two. And Laurie is Seth\’s absolutely adorable daughter. Taryn Quinn really out did themselves with this book, this is one of the best written friends to lovers stories I have read. It has so many feels and stuck with me for days after I finished it.

Audio Have My Baby (Crescent Cove #1) narrated by Kai Kennicott Wen Ross
Seth and Ally are best friends. They have been best friends since High School and boy is there some pent up energy between them. When Seth makes an outrageous proposition that could change the friendship forever Ally is put in the driver\’s seat of their future. I loved this book because Seth was so set in the fact that he wanted Ally that nothing was going to deter him. And Ally was so afraid of losing their friendship that she fought Seth tooth and nail the entire way. I love it when a female lead is strong and passionate about the people that she cares about so much so that she takes her time to make-up her mind. Seth is such a go-getter that there is no way he is letting Ally get away now. The dynamic between this duo is hot and steamy. The friends that are in the mix trying to help them sort through this whole endeavor are hilarious. Taryn Quinn writes a HEA like no other! You are rooting for the characters to come together the entire way, also cursing them along the way when they don\’t react the way you want them to in certain situations. I loved it! Can\’t wait for more from Taryn Quinn

Crescent Cove, Book 1 By: Taryn Quinn Narrated by: Wen Ross, Kai Kennicott I loved everything about this book, from Taryn Quinns wonderful writing style to the characters and storylines they created. This is the 1st book of their fantastic Crescent Cove series, each book features a different couple and can be enjoyed as a stand-alone. This is Ally and Seths story. Ally was busy most of her life taking care of her ailing Mom, her two constants in her life were her best friends Sage and Seth. After a failed marriage, Seth is not sure he could trust another woman. His ex used him and left him and their 4 year old daughter, Laurie. He loves his daughter with all his heart and is willing to give her anything she wants, including another sibling. He comes up with a proposition for Ally, he would give her something she always wanted if she had his baby. I adored these characters, they were great together and for each other. Ally was awesome with Laurie too. I love how everything plays out in this book, the story is well plotted and has a natural flow to it it, there is plenty of drama, some laughs, a touch of angst and a beautiful friends to lovers romance sure to put and leave a smile on your face. Thank you Taryn Quinn for another amazing story and fun & emotional rollercoaster ride. I listened to the Audible edition, Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott are wonderful narrators and voice artists. They bring the characters to life, humanize them by giving each their own voice and personality. They do a great job projecting the characters emotions as well as the drama of the story into their performance, which is a wonderful duet performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen
