People of the Dune have lived in a harsh climate since the beginning and they never witness any greenery on their planet ever. They never craved lush green surroundings because it was something which they have never witnessed in life. All their lifestyle, economy, and everyday business were well settled according to their surroundings and then the change started to emerge. In no time the scenery around the children of the Dune changed and the planet transformed into an oasis from a barren desert.

The change was pleasant so no one thought about any side effects of this massive change. The surface became lush green and the wind became less pinching for the natives. Flowers spread their fragrance all around and this made the environment more romantic and soothing. However, not all the life forms on the planet were able to welcome this change in the same way.
The giant sandworms started dying because of this change and with them, the economy of the Dune crumbled. Leto and Ghanima the heirs to the throne thought that they could help in this matter but their way is blocked. Scott Brick and Simon Vance give everything in narrating the twins on whom the future of the world depends.
Frank Herbert used this trick in Dune and Dune Messiah where he first brings in a problem and then from within describes the emergence of a savior. The twins come forward even when it was none of their business but they show courage and an aim to complete the task. Opponents try to wear them down but they in their prime youth have the zeal to outclass any enemy.
