11-22-63 is a suspenseful mystery-thriller novel. It comes out of the pen of the legendary novelist of our times who is Stephen King. He is mainly known for writing horror fiction but he has also written good mystery thrillers and a few nonfictional books or memoirs as well. If you want to see Stephen King at his best then try out his The Institute novel. Another good one from the author in his comfort zone of horror fiction is The Stand novel.
The narration of this chapter is done by Craig Wasson. He narrated this book in the first person and it was a terrific experience for the listeners.
11-22-63
It was 22nd November 1963 when as many as three shots were heard in Dallas. It was when President Kennedy died. The world changed very soon after this. What could be the scenario if you were able to change it back?
In this brilliantly written book, the author, King has managed to absorb the political, social, and popular culture of his contemporaries and current generation. He was more imaginative and quite thorough in his work as compared to any other writer of his time and even before to some extent. He takes his followers on an implausible journey in the past and looks at the possibility of altering it.
The story starts and mainly revolves around a 35 years old teacher in Lisbon, whose name is Jake Epping.
The audiobook is divided into four parts which makes it very interesting and easy to listen to a book. The excitement is mainly into the first half and then it becomes a little boring with some long stretches.
