(My title is cheesy, I know.) This is a great look into Kai\’s mind and to see a glimpse of what the guys were up to before Tori shows up in Three Mages and a Margarita. I love the chemistry between Kai and Izzah. I feel Izzah has a bold yet soft/caring personality. This story was Fantastic just like all the other books from Annette Marie. If you haven\’t tried one of her books I highly recommend any to start with. Her books are semi-clean (in my opinion) and are well written with amazing story lines and characters you will fall in love with!

A Kai centric novella, set before book one, though meant to be read between books three and four… because you’ll understand some of the references having learned about Kai and his family in book 3. Since it’s not a standalone, I recommend having read the first books in this series – author’s preferred reading author. This was an entertaining novella, which came from a rather different point of view, and was intriguing because Kai is definitely an enigmatic character. Recommended for fans of the series.

If you\’re reading Annette Marie \’s Guild Codex series, this is a good prequel giving part of the backstory for how Kai met Izzy. Lots of action packed into this short novella. Thanks Annette Marie for getting this out to your readers!

As stated before, AM is an amazing author. Only reason why I give this book 4 instead of 5 is because Izzah kind of annoyed me. It was so great to be able to get a peek at our favorite chill electramage’s mind and his POV. We all know he to be a playboy so it was nice to see him actually give into his feelings for her. Good plot, amazing series.

When the item is stolen anyway, Kai teams up with the stranger to chase down the rogue in a Greek mythology, Percy style hunt. So much fun!
