Although the last two books by Child were under average, he\’s made a fair comeback with 61 hours. In my case, I don\’t describe his books as fast-paced, but I cannot put them down either. This one is no exception in that I finished it in two days. Well written and plausible in its own way, a little predictable although I miss more clues than Reacher of course. All in all I recommend it to everyone, especially his followers: you won\’t be disappointed. 27 people found this helpful

I like Jack Reacher books and sometimes I like cliffhangers. This time I feel like I invested a lot of time into the book, only to get a stupid cliffhanger ending. I recommending waiting to listen to this book until Part 2 is available this fall. 30 people found this helpful

Audiobook 61 Hours (Jack Reacher #14) by Lee Child
I\’ll start by saying that I love the Reacher books and have read a couple of them more than once. This one is terrible. Dick Hill is superb, as usual but Lee Child is not. This one is so full of endless description of everything except action that I found myself dozing off more than once. I figured out the \”mystery\” way before Reacher did and I hate when that happens. I\’m sure that die hard fans like myself will discount this review and buy it anyway and I\’m not trying to discourage you from doing that. I\’m just saying that much of what I love about the series (action) is not present in this one. Don\’t even get me started on the ending… 30 people found this helpful

Audio 61 Hours (Jack Reacher #14) narrated by Dick Hill
I love how this book is an immediate follow up to the last and it presents Jack Reacher as more Human he is not the unstoppable hand to hand guy he normally is due to an issue in the previous book. Overall this is a great addition to the series and highly recommend after reading the previous book. 6 people found this helpful

Reacher catches a ride on a tour bus, which crashes in a snowstorm outside a small town. The snow keeps falling, and the town is cut off from the outside world… of course you know what happens next. The story really does take place over only 61 hours, which keeps the action tight. Excellent return to classic reacher form. 16 people found this helpful
