I love this series for the most part and this was the last one that I needed to read. You meet so many characters. But you have to read in order (mostly) to understand what is going on. In this one, I wanted to see what happened between Sheriff Troy and Faith and we also catch up with everyone else. The only problem that I saw that wish had been resolved earlier was the problem with Jolene. Still a good book and series. Must read.
I love her books! I’ve read ten of her books since May of 2018. As I type, it’s October of 2018. Her writing is absolutely excellent! I’ll read her books as long as she keeps writing. She has a fabulous talent of drawing in the reader from one book to the other. I love Cedar Cove!! Thank you Debbie Macomber!!

92 Pacific Boulevard audiobook in series Cedar Cove
This continues the ongoing saga of a lot of interesting characters in Cedar Cove..primarily sheriff Troy Davis. On one hand his daughter is expecting..that is good news..but she is resistant to his seeing anyone since her mother has recently died after a long illness. He had reacquainted himself with his old high school sweetheart, but this romance has a very hard time getting off the ground due to his reluctance to tell his daughter about Faith, his old girlfriend. This story line can get very frustrating since it seems that two grown people could certainly get together without interference from the younger generation but it is an ongoing theme that takes a long time to resolve. The local judge, Olivia, has discovered that she has cancer and the community rallies around her. Several other stories have a thread here which really has the reader waiting for the next installment..all in all a good story that leaves one ready for more.

Audiobook 92 Pacific Boulevard by Cedar Cove
I can say with complete honesty that Debbie Macomber’s format is far more palatable to me than my grandmother’s soaps. My grandmother watched her soaps every day without fail. The lives of the people on screen were more real to her than those of us around her at times. I, however, found myself uncomfortable and embarrassed by the constant drama and emotion conveyed on the screen. In this series, I am allowed to eavesdrop on conversations and like The Shadow, observe the lives of several people as they progress through the years without all the fuss and drama – much better.
Debbie has created some interesting characters facing challenges in their lives. She takes time to share the perspectives of those who take the main stage for this installment and I did have a sense of what makes these people tick. While at times I found that these characters all seem too good to be true, I also appreciated the very strong modeling of appropriate adult behavior: caring and loving treatment of others, reasonable and honest discussion, and accepting responsibility for one’s actions.

Audio 92 Pacific Boulevard narrated by Sandra Burr
These are not the kind of books I normally read, but they are strangely addictive. They are comforting and easy to read, although sometimes I have to stop because I feel as though I’ve overdosed on sugar. Having said that, I have read the whole series of 12, since stumbling across the ‘Cedar Cove’ series on TV at an unearthly hour – sadly they only ran 2 seasons on TV in the UK. And the TV version, although letting the characters keep their names, has completely changed most of the story lines, even down to one person marrying somebody completely different from whom she married in the book series, and others meeting their end in a different way or even turning up alive and well and living with another woman! But that’s TV for you.
The thing that bugs me about this particular book is that it feels as if there is a huge chunk missing. Debbie Macomber is usually
meticulous in briefly reprising characters’ stories so that anybody picking up a book out of sequence has some idea where a character fits in, but here we have a whole plotline which seems to have occurred ‘off-stage’ when nobody was looking, and the characters (Mack and Mary Jo) just fall into the story fully formed, leaving you thinking hey, wait a minute, when did that happen and why didn’t we hear about it? It’s a shame because these are engaging characters, whose present/future story arc occupies quite a large part of this particular book, yet their backstory is completely missing, apart from a brief mention which leaves you wanting to know the details of how they came to be where they are.

I’m reading this book as part of the series and am finding it hard to put down. As usual the author picks up the story quickly and keeps it moving along. Even if you read this book standalone, the storyline compels you to keep reading. I love the way she weaves in and out of the lives of Cedar Cove, keeping the reader interested.
I have been reading the Cedar Cove books since finding this author while on holiday in Canada. The books follow the life and trials of many people who live in Cedar Cove and are captivating. Unfortunately I seem to have got out of sequence and it would be great if Amazon had a numerical list of the titles.
