Blood Match picks up right where Blood Type ended and we are taken on another wild ride! Beckham and Reyna are separated when Blood Match starts and Reyna is in a pretty horrible predicament sees no way of getting out. Things are dire for her but Reyna isn\’t a quitter and finds a way to survive. When her and Beckham are finally reunited it doesn\’t go how Reyna planned, but that doesn\’t stop her. This book had so many twists and turns and a lot more truths revealed. We get to see Beckham and Reyna fall apart and come back together, as well as get to see Reyna truly come into her own and become a powerful person in her own right. She\’s not the weak girl she used to be, but she still has her idealist views and wants to know everything and make things right in the world, and I love this about her.Blood Match was a great addition to this trilogy and I can\’t wait to see how this series ends, especially with how this book ended!

I read the first book and it was okay. I decided to read the second one just to see where the story went. I really like the story line and the idea behind it. I don\’t like the execution. It\’s a very easy read that leads the reader to be mindless readers. Everything is spelled out redundantly. I would find myself skipping paragraphs because it\’s would drone on about things the reader already understood. We know Reyna hates anything to do with blood. We don\’t need a whole page on her gagging and hating it. Stuff like that. But if we\’re just that, I\’d read the next book too BUT, the ending… Oh my gosh. That was literally awful. It was like sitting through a boring movie that only got exciting at the last five minutes. But it wasn\’t even entertaining. No, it was so lame. I wanted to push Reyna off the side of the building. I actually like Harrington. His character development is genuine (shitty person but he stuck to his role). Reyna\’s character is just plain stupid and selfish and undeserving of everything. Like even Becks changed, his character became more endearing and likeable. I hoped that she would mature and change and realize that she can\’t be so stupid. But hey, she got what she deserved kinda. Ehh, with all that said, I personally am not interested in reading the second book thanks to that outrages ending.

Audiobook Blood Match (Blood Type #2) by K. A. Linde
Mind-blowing. I stared at the very last word of this book as if I could conjure it to continue, that\’s how awesome Blood Match is. I literally sobbed at the end… Cliffhanger from hell almost killed me! I think my brain is still stuck in the amazing world that K.A. Linde created and my heart… well my heart is still a little bruised. First things first, if you haven\’t read Blood Type (the first book in this series) you have to read it in order to understand Reyna and Beckham\’s story and their world and after that you can pick up Blood Match and follow this compelling love story. So, Blood Match picks up where Blood Type left off, Reyna is in serious trouble and Beckham can\’t help her because it could risk everything. The story starts slow but it kept me totally engaged, the mind games are absolutely insane and Reyna\’s interactions with Harrington, the world\’s most powerful vampire, are totally unpredictable. Honestly, I loved how the story kept building, the tension kept rising and how every action caused an extraordinary reaction (or twist). Will Reyna survive Harrington\’s mind games? Is Beckham strong enough to fight Harrington? Survival is the ultimate challenge. And love… Love may or may not conquer all. Compelling, unpredictable, intense, stunning, brilliantly written with a captivating story line, Blood Match is the real deal. Honestly, I would say this series is the best series I\’ve read this year. Can\’t wait to get my hands on Blood Cure!

Audio Blood Match (Blood Type #2) narrated by Caitlin Elizabeth
Mashup of Twilight, 50 Shades and the Hunger Games–those fans might like this. It has all the elements. However, the character development of the main character, Reyna, made her into a very selfish whiny young lady. For example, she supposedly made friends with a girl she rescued and didn’t even bother to get her a Christmas present when the other girl put a lot of effort into choosing a book for Reyna. It was that they were friends because of their circumstance rather than a true friendship, which was what was suggested to the reader. She was being given everything and taking everything. And the book? What was the point of the book she was given when it’s hardly alluded to again. The story is so close to being there, I can see why so many people like it. It just didn\’t work for me as developed. Please give us more character development for Reyna so that we want to keep cheering for her. So much potential. As written, I was done with the series after the cliffhanger.

K.A. Linde is one of my favorite authors. I absolutely love this series and I am anxiously awaiting the 3rd book. The story is so intense and riveting. This series would be a great movie or series. As K.A. Linde stated, Buffy the Vampire series started her on the journey and I also loved Buffy! I don’t like to reveal much about books I have read. But this is a love story and so well written. And this is why I read anything written by her. I hope will you will read this author if you have not discovered her yet. You will not be disappointed!
