Tomorrow There Will Be Sun opens as the protagonist is handed a perfect Margaritathen it quickly starts revealing the heroines less-than-perfect life. Shes gone to a lot of trouble trying to plan an idyllic family vacation but, of course, life is never perfect. Shes a YA author whos blocked on her fourth book and having typical difficulties parenting her own teen daughter. She recently had a bout with breast cancer. Theyre celebrating the 50th birthdays of her husband and his business partner, whose family is also along on the trip. And her husband may or may not be having an affair. With all that friction going on, this wasnt as fun and certainly not as light as some of my favorite booksbut it turned out to be a favorite nevertheless. Reinhardt’s writing is crisp and vivid and kept me turning pages. The ending might be less of a resolution than some readers may want, but I thought it fit the storydare I say it?perfectly.

Have no fear about jinxing your upcoming spring vacation. Here is a vivid, tension-filled, quick-witted novel about two families who plan a trip to a luxury villa in Puerto Vallarta to celebrate a milestone birthday with the promise of a relaxing getaway and some lasting good memories. But thats not exactly how things turn out in Dana Reinhardts TOMORROW THERE WILL BE SUN.

Slather on some sunscreen, reach for your margarita, then settle in for a really enjoyable read, because there will be fun in TOMORROW THERE WILL BE SUN.

Quick and entertaining book. Two families embark on a luxury vacation; things dont quite go as planned. Disagree with reviews that ending is abrupt. There is definitely a sense that things have come full circle at the end and while the reader is left with questions things are pretty well tied up.

Since I am moving to the area in Mexico ,it was interesting to hear about the beaches etc. but as I read the book I began to understand it was much more than a travel guide. It was a book about a woman finally seeing the truth about her life and those around her.

It’s rare to find a book that is so entertaining yet so thought-provoking. Dana Reinhardt writes with real insight about marriage, parenthood, growing older, making and losing friends, and many other facets of middle-aged life. Her protagonist is funny, flawed, real, and totally relatable in all her neuroses and worry. Very satisfying but not pat – there are no easy answers or neatly tied up endings – just as in real life.
