I really enjoyed reading the first book. Forbidden romance. Possessive, jealous hero and faithful hero. Hero was celibate for around 6 years ever since meeting heroine, despite the fact that there was no romantic feelings between them because she was way too young at the time. In the first book he kept pushing her away but I understood why. He felt guilty which was a reasonable reaction given that he raised her. Also there were hot sexy times closer to the end of the story. I was looking forward to reading this book based on how much I liked the first one. Unfortunately I was disappointed. There were still elements I liked. Hero is still possessive, jealous and faithful. Scattered sexy times. However the focus was no longer on their romance. Also too much time was spent apart because he kept blowing hot and cold. He treated her like a boomerang. He push her away but still occasionally watch her. Then when he got jealous he would catch her again only to throw her away after a short period of time. It was highly annoying. His reason for pushing her away for her own good was no longer valid. These things made the story drag and I became bored. The book ended on a cliffhanger that was totally unnecessary. The story could have easily been complete in two books. I will not be reading the next one.

This story continues to keep me ENTHRALLED! Once I started I was sucked right back into the push and pull between Liam and Samantha. I cannot get enough of this forbidden romance. I got to the last page and wished for more. She had to leave to find herself. To become the woman and the musician she was meant to be. Samantha is living her dream on tour, but her dream separates her from Liam. Liam wants to set her free to live the life she deserves, but he cant seem to let her go. This story had twists and turns. It also had drama, suspense and heartbreak! We were introduced to new characters (I hope we get their stories) and learned more about Josh, Liams brother. Once I started I just could not put it down until the last page. The writing, the story, the depth of these characters keeps me coming back for more. The wait will be difficult, but I am ready to read the conclusion to Liam and Samanthas story in Sonata.

Audiobook Concerto (North Security #2) by Skye Warren
I really like Samantha and Liam it\’s a little weird but they need each other. The whole book is about looking for Samantha\’s father before he kidnaps or kills her. The strange people who are part of the elaborate concert are so dysfunctional it\’s like a comedy. This book dragged on until the end when Liam jumped in front of Samantha to take the bullet her father wanted her to receive. Now wait months for book 3 !

Audio Concerto (North Security #2) narrated by Grace Grant Teddy Hamilton
This book was not as good as the first book. A lot of it keep me confused with all the jumping around. Then the ending if you can call it that was not what I felt like I paid for. Sorry Skye this is one of your few that just didnt do it for me.

Wow! This was an extraordinary second book in the North Security trilogy. From the very beginning the angst is like a music string being tightened as its being tuned. The angst ratcheting and the passion exploding. Concerto has all the elements of an extraordinary romantic suspense story. Simply gripping. A lot sinful! Samantha is finally on her own. Preparing for her upcoming concert, she believes she will remain in the shadows. But with the ever present threat to her life and her new role in the concert, she will now be front and centre. Although uncomfortable with this place, she would love to be front and centre to Liam North. Liam however is filled with demons and regret. Will he ever see her as more than a way to punish himself for past mistakes? Thinking this was the second book in a duet (my mistake) I was all set for the secrets to come out and for these two to find their way to each other once and for all. All I have to say is that I am so glad I was wrong and that this is not the end to their story. I need and want so much more from them and for them. Liam is so sexy with his dominate ways, his charm and possessiveness. We get more insight into his psyche and how he truly feels. I cant wait to dive even further into his character and past. I found that Samanthas character started to bloom in this instalment. Her character grew leaps and bounds both in strength and self confidence. These two together is nothing short of a conflagration! So HOT! They are so different but fit each other so perfectly. His worldliness compared to her innocence. Not to mention the fact that it seems like he is emotionally stunted while she is emotionally mature. I was not only compelled by Sam and Liam but the secondary characters as well. The complexities of both Josh and Harry. They both seem so tortured and I would absolutely ADORE getting stories for both of them. Skye Warren is the pied piper and this series is her flute. Where she writes, I will blindly follow.
