Beautiful Beginning (Beautiful Bastard #3.5)

FINAL DECISION: The story of the marriage of Chloe and Bennett, getting to see the characters all in a happy place was nice, but I wasn’t as drawn into this story as much as the other novellas. The humor felt more forced and less exciting, but still a nice revisit.

THE STORY: Chloe and Bennett started out with arguing and angry sex, but now they are getting married and there is plenty of anger at family and no sex because Bennett wants to wait for the wedding night. A series of crazy capers happens when it is time for the wedding.

OPINION: I always enjoy seeing all the characters from the Beautiful series in situations that are not about their emotional turmoil but rather about enjoying their relationship. This novella is a cute episode with the crazy events surround Chloe and Bennett’s marriage. What I enjoyed most about the story is how we get to see Bennett’s intense love for Chloe. Definitely sigh-worthy. Although the story has a lot of humor, I wasn’t as engaged with the story as with the prior stories. I liked the story, but didn’t find it as hilarious as others.

WORTH MENTIONING: This is an adorable novella with all the cast and crew of the prior books in the Beautiful series. It clearly was designed to be an ending to the series although the authors continued the series a few years later.

CONNECTED BOOKS: BEAUTIFUL BEGINNING is book 3.5 in the Beautiful series. It should be read as part of the series as it assumes knowledge of the characters.

Bennett and Chloe are getting married in the Beautiful Beginning novella!! How could we miss this? We cant. Which is why Christina Lauren gave us Beginning and why I continued on with the Beautiful Series.

Its a destination wedding that guarantees many sexy and laugh out loud moments for the reader. Of course, the gang is all back to be present at the nuptials. Now Bennett, Max, and Will have all coupled up and we get more, more, more.

What has more potential for disaster than a wedding? Flowing drinks, the blending of families, potential planning disasters there is countless things that could blow up to give us all a laugh. Plus we get more of Bennett Ryan; more steamy scenes with him and more love-hate between him and Chloe.

Beautiful Beginning is a fun, sweet, and steamy short novella that I am very happy was added to the Beautiful Series. Chloe and Bennett are both my favorite leads from the series and I would have felt a little cheated if I wasnt witness to their wedding. Bennett Ryan is everything a girl could ask for out of a Panty-Ripper. Christina Lauren are one bad ass pair, and I for one think I would love a night out with them. My re-read journey is getting closer to the end and I cant wait to read Beautiful Secret for the first time!

Bennett Ryan MY Beautiful Bastard. What a ride. If you’re wondering whether this book will measure up to the others in the series, put your mind at rest. The anger, name-calling and subsequent mind-blowing sex is on full display.

The boys have equal time in the book to showcase the male catty dialogue they are so famous for. I laughed out loud so many times that my kindle is basically highlighted through the entire book. As always the snarky one liners and comedic timing is spot on.

Bennett and Chloe start off hot and sizzle all the way through. When Max made his many appearances in the book I was reminded how I swooned for him in Beautiful Stranger. And having just finished Beautiful Player I loved getting a little more Will and Hanna.

Meeting the various members of the two families did not disappoint. The many new supporting characters were written perfectly making the story much more interesting. Especially–BULL! Of course it wouldn’t be a wedding for these two if it weren’t riddled with constant chaos and disasters, which happened at every turn and will have you howling at the absurdity.

But what I loved most about this book was the deeper look into the love that Bennett has for his Chloe. They melded a perfect blend of Bastard and Gentleman that will make you fall hard–harder, for ole’ Ben.

It is a quick read that serves up the finale to this series perfectly in a nice silver wedding bow. I’m just sad it’s the last we will hear from our Beautiful duo of friends–I’ll miss them.

Christina Lauren, thank you for the journey with these guys–your writing is infectious and I give this book a high five with five BIG stars!

Well, Well, Well Christina Hobbs & Lauren Billings you truly have me stumped. I don’t know what to read now, I’m frustrated because you didn’t finished the rest of Bennett & Chloe sex, I’m frustrated because I don’t get to read more of Max & Sara or Hannah & Will, and I’m also frustrated and upset and happy and elated that I got to read this book and enjoy every last word of it.
It was a Beautiful Ending to a Beautiful Series. I can’t wait to see what other books you have coming out and I can’t wait to see if there will be anymore of and of the other characters. You always know how to keep an audience laughing and shocked in all the right places. I’m also keeping tags on the BB film so I can’t wait to hear more.

Again, I can say that this series of book is not for anyone prudish. There is a story to it & numerous racy parts. I must say, for this style of book which Id never normally read, it is well written, as you can imagine the story as it unfolds.
