The Orc King is the first installment in the Forgotten Realms – Transitions sub-series. It is the 20th chapter of the Legend of Drizzt novel series. The book is beautifully written by R. A. Salvatore. When it is about the best science fiction novels, R. A. Salvatore is right up there among the best. His novels such as Servant of the Shard and The Companions endorses his abilities as a great writer.
The audio narration of The Orc King novel is done by Mark Bramhall. The bar was raised quite high with the many performances of Victor Bevine in the earlier chapters of the series. Mark Bramhall might have been a good choice for some other novel, but his voice was not suitable to play the characters in The Orc King.

You will find Drizzt making a comeback in this novel. He returns to a place that is completely changed forever.
The uneasy peace between the orcs of Many-Arrows and dwarves of Mithral Hall couldn’t last for long. The tribes of the orc united under Obould and soon begin to battle with each other. This was the time when Bruenor is fully determined to end this war that almost had killed him as well. It almost had destructed everything that he has ever worked to construct. But, all this will take a lot more than axes and swords to bring long-lasting peace in the Spine of the World.
The Orc King is a fascinating chapter in the Legend of Drizzt novel series. The story is great and so are the characters. The performance was not so impressive by Mark Bramhall. People want to have Victor Bevine back in the further chapters of this series who is brilliant as always.
