My Sinful Desire (Sinful Men #2)

I absolutely love My Sinful Men series by Lauren Blakely. My Sinful Desire, book 2 in this series focuses on Ryan Sloan and Sophie Winston. I read this series several years back and am so excited to revisit them again. HOT is how I would describe these two. I love that this series is now in first person with multiple POVs. In this particular book you hear from several other important characters and not just Ryan and Sophie. Makes the story so much better. Either my memory does not remember Ryan and Sophie being so very steamy between the sheets or the author added a whole lot of steam to this new version. Either way, it’s hot with some kink. If you love romantic suspense, swoon-worthy hero, beautiful and sexy heroine, and lots of family love you will enjoy this story as well as the whole series by Lauren Blakely. This can be read as a stand-alone, sorta. The suspense part of this story follows the re-opening of Ryans fathers murder 18yrs ago. To understand that part of this series I highly recommend that you read this series in order then. All books in this series are seriously written superbly and oh so HOT between the sheets for each couple. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. 5 stars*****

I really didn’t think it was possible, but this has to be said, sorry Clay and Brent. The Sloan brothers are in town and they are HOT, sexy, filthy and wickedly divine .

Ryan Sloan and his entourage of siblings are introduced in Sweet Sinful Nights. Second oldest, handsome, cocky and dominant. Sophie Winston is a sexy, sultry philanthropist who is not afraid to go for what she wants. When Ryan and Sophie cross paths, the chemistry is undeniably fierce. Scorching. Sinful. There isn’t a scene that even the reader can walk away unscathed. Ms. Blakely held back no punches and turned the heat WAY up.

Sinful Desire is a romantic suspense. Although the events surrounding the mystery start in Sweet Sinful Nights it’s continual. So if this is your first book by Ms. Blakely, nothing is given away. The story itself is so well plotted and developed that as you read, what is unfolding is easily understood. Now, if you are a fan of all things Blakely, you will see how nicely it connects and interweaves neatly with characters from the past and present, as well as possible future characters. This a love story, without a doubt, but it’s also something bigger, a little more than just two people coming together. The Sloans, unknowingly, are pieces of a very complex puzzle.

Just when I tell myself that Lauren Blakely can’t outdo herself from the previous story, she goes and blows my mind away by creating a new beau and suddenly I am in love, again. This series has me on a SERIOUS book hangover. The feels are deep. I can’t wait to read more about the remaining Sloan brothers. I can’t wait to see where the new clues fit in. Seriously, READ this series.

I loved this story. I loved how this author slowly takes us through Ryans’ issues with trust — and how those walls he’s built around himself begin to slowly crumble. He’s suffered much tragedy in his life causing him to guard his privacy and making him believe love is a fallacy and true intimacy is a lie. So what do you do when you meet the woman you never thought existed — a dream come to life? Ms. Blakely ever so expertly takes us through the turmoil that Ryan is experiencing as well as all the secrets and lies he’s harboring. This is a fabulously sweet and seductive romantic plot told around a dramatic backdrop of murder for hire and corruption. A wonderful story of a man unable to get close to anyone because of a family tragedy.

I have usually really enjoyed Lauren Blakely’s books. I loved Wanderlust and gave it a 5 star rating. And the storyline in this book, the second in the Sinful Nights series, is excellent. I’m fully invested in finding out the truth about the murder of the Sloan children’s father. What I didn’t enjoy about this book is the sex – and I like hot sex scenes in my romance books. I didn’t like Ryan’s constant need to dominate and Sophie’s total submission. The sex between the H and h was more than steamy, it was more like porn. I wasn’t feeling the romance of it. I didn’t really like these characters that much, to be honest. I think I may buy the other 2 books just for the mystery and maybe skip some of the sex scenes, especially if they involve bondage, spanking and anal sex and too much of it. A little dominance goes a long way.

wow! this is a strong powerful romance between 2 beautiful people, ryan is a little damaged and vulnerable because of his past and the secrets he was made to keep. while sophie is calm and well adjusted, having made a lot of money she is content to do charitable work. together they are everything the other needs. I didn’t want to put this down, as always lauren weaves an amazing tale that just keeps you wanting more
