The Flood-Tide audiobook in series Morland Dynasty

Ive been reading the Morland Dynasty Books for over 20yrs. Ive read the whole series about five times and never tire of the books. I have been purchasing the new book every November when they’ve come out up to either 34 or 35, now Im slowly buying then on Kindle and re-reading them again. Cant wait for November for the next new one. Ive learnt more history from these books then 12yrs at school! Her other books are worth reading too especially Bill Slider, which once I have all the Morland Dynasty Books on Kindle I will start collecting.

Audiobook The Flood-Tide by Cynthia Harrod-Eagles

I love this series so much, working through from book one I love getting to know her families and following them through the historical events.

This is one of several Cynthia Harrod-Eagles books which I have recently purchased for my wife – and every single one is liberally sprinkled with incredibly careless typographical errors, in excess of 20 in each book. This is a disgrace, especially when one considers that all but one of the Kindle books cost a not insignificant £7.49 apiece. Supplying goods which are demonstrably sub-standard is not something I expected from Amazon, who presumably do not even bother to read customer comments as this is not the first time I have provided feedback about the sloppy nature of the books, which have evidently not been proofread prior to release, and I have heard nothing in response from Amazon.

This book follows the various members of the Morland family in the late 1700s against the backdrop of the American uprising, and in England, the reign of George 3rd. Meanwhile we catch up with Henri, the illegitimate side of the Morland clan, brought up in France by his grandmother. This volume ends with the report from France of the storming of the Bastille….. Very exciting; couldn’t put it down!

I have noticed with all of The Morland Dynasty books so far, the proof reading is terrible. There are so mammograms, one has to reread sentences sometimes to make sense of them. Sometimes sentences are part paragraphs are repeated too. However I am enjoying following the story of The Morland Dynasty.
