He was an amazing dragon king. He could see things and then draw them. So when she asked him to go with her to get her memories that he didn’t hesitate. She was a British spy but somehow they had gotten into her brain and took out some of her memories and everything was backwards in her mind she wanted her life back. She felt like she couldn’t sleep because there was something in her mind with her and it would hurt her. They go on lots of adventures to find her mind and to find a droid that ta he was an amazing dragon game. He could see things and then draw them. All these books and great that’s all I can say I just hate when I finish one because now I have to wait until November to the next one I’ve read them all.

Heat audiobook in series Dark Kings
First my character breakdown:
Nikolai; His story tugged at my heart strings, his relationship with Ulrik broke my heart. But his power and his certainty for Esther was pleasant to read. I adore how he showed his affections to Esther and to Ulrick.
Esther; The girl is a though chick. All that she was dealt with and all that she was dealing with. Yet still be determine to find answers and stand so strong. I love when the heroine in books are this tough but still hold vulnerabilities. I am looking forward towards seeing how her future will go.
Like I said before this story had a lot of things happening at once. It will take you a minute to wrap your mind around them. I took it all as best I could but damn that blew my mind.

Audiobook Heat by Donna Grant
What can I say? I love DG and her Dragon Kings, this book has the expected DK and mate romance, adventure and battle but more importantly (for me) is that the bigger stories are finally moving forward after stalling over the last few books. DG has added even more interesting ideas and characters with no predictable outcome.
The main problem I have with the series is that the big characters and their story are losing cohesion. This book is based on U shocked at realizing B is alive, blaming the Dark for losing R when they had her and R wanting to protect P from any Fae knowing of him. I struggled to get past this because in book 7 (Burning Desire) U goes to B’s fortress to rescue R WITH P! She has a full conversation with B in his fortress and here we are in book 12 and it’s as if none of that has happened. As a fan of all DG’s books, I love them all, pre-order and wait in anticipation. This one made me feel a little betrayed in it’s inconsistency.
DG is an amazingly prolific writer and I am always impressed, we are now in 20+ Dragon King books so I guess it can be hard to keep track of story lines, I hope the big stories continue to evolve, problems get solved and we finally see some action for our big characters.

Audio Heat narrated by Antony Ferguson
Heat is a very apropos name for the 12th book in the Dragon King series. This is NOT a stand alone book. If you haven’t started this series and you love paranormal romance I would strongly suggest this series, it is phenomenal! Donna Grant is s very talented story teller.
Heat is Nicolai and Esther’s book. Nicolai is the king of the ivory dragons and was orphaned at a very young age. Ulric the king of the silver dragons saved him and raised him. Nicolai struggles with the guilt of what happened between the dragon kings and his one time father.
Esther is an MI5 agent and Henry’s sister who is still battling missing memories and nightmares from when she was taken over by a druid. She enlists Nicolai’s help in tracing her steps to see if she can get her memories back and find the druid. Esther and Nicolai have been drawn to each other but neither one acted on it, now that they will be spending time together it becomes impossible. The “heat” between these two is palpable and when they decide to give in to the attraction its explosive.
We did get some answers to long awaited questions as well as a couple more twists. Overall Heat is an amazing read!!

This is the first book to me that really gave an insight into the real Ulrick,no wonder they all loved him , which made what they did to him seem so much harsher.. Having saved Nickolai when he was a baby he became like a father to him. This book has a LOT happening and it sets the stage up very nicely for Ulricks book, which thank god is only a couple of months wait….Although i love the story about the main two in each book,, ive got to admit that it is Rhi that holds all my attention….and poor Rhi, my heart breaks for her by the end of this one…The frustration of not knowing who her lover is drives me mad….I had always thought it was Con, and although it points away from him i cant help but think thats the point, and it is him…there are only a couple left now that it can be..maybe V..he is another mystery….I was starting to hope that maybe she could end up with Ballyden, but think that is very unlikely now., i was begining to like him..not now though…..I think its pretty obvious now who Ulricks mate is…..Cant wait for Torched….
