I was drawn to the cover picture and brief story description. I loved the first part of the book, as strange things began to happen. That was fascinating. I had a hard time accepting the lack of contact – and truth – with \”mission control\”. I was unsatisfied with the ending because I wanted some explanation of the \”misunderstood aliens\”. I wish I could have heard/read all the last words of Thompson, who apparently figured out more about them.

This book is hard to put down. It is edge-of- your-seat compelling right up to the very last page. A masterful plot with descriptive phrases that are vivid, sometimes sardonic yet perversely playful. You are hurled through space at the author\’s will. An easy read in spite of it\’s technical nature.

Audio Infinity 7 What Do You Hear When Aliens Call? narrated by Nate Marble
Very difficult to understand the choices the main character makes. Its a science fiction book, but even with that knowledge, the direction the book takes can be just odd. Without giving away plot spoilers, the book has some good sections (Metis 3 chapters), but the beginning was weak, and the several chapters of him dreaming didnt add much to the overall story. The book is fragmented and parts were written like the margins of a play where it gives direction to the stage hands. End of my review.
