I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I always looked forward to the moments when I would be able to listen to the book. I enjoyed the family dynamics, the character buildups and the interactions. The ending was a bit of a surprise and I can\’t wait to listen to Book 2. The only reason the performance was rated a little low was the narrator\’s pronunciation of several names. She had trouble between Heath and Pete and I was confused several times as to who was doing and saying what. Overall, great listen and I highly recommend. 2 people found this helpful

I didn\’t HATE this book. But I didn\’t LOVE it either. It was decent. Let\’s just say it was too…..all over the place for me. The story starts off pretty good with a decent amount of snarkiness and back story on Darci. I love the kind of mother she is and I also love her kids. The story kind of runs like this: Snarky convos, unexplained fire, deep familial dives into relationships and side issues, more fires, dodging the issues, a long side story that seems to kind of detour away from the main story, then all of a sudden back to the source of the fires, and a short and very spotty explanation of what\’s going on. Then full throttle into the Grecian myths and their fruition. I personally had SO many questions about it but they weren\’t answered. It was like ok, this is what\’s gonna happen but instead of that happening, Darci somehow made another decision and it was ok cuz Darci sets her own rules?? I feel like less time could have been spent with the family drama portions of the story and that saved time could have been poured into what is essentially the premise of the entire book. You get like 3 chapters at the very end in which the whole story is supposed to make sense, but then you get the rest of the book about her screwed up family and effed up ex-husband. Even though the book doesn\’t really stick to the main story, the writer does a pretty good job of telling the story of Darci\’s family. It was interesting. I just got to a point that I forgot that I was reading a story about a woman who might have fire powers. The premise is great but it isn\’t explained very well at any point. The explanations start to take hold but then you wind up with more questions than answers. The narrator is ok. Does a pretty good job with the voice variations until the end. Then its like everyone has the same voice. She does read a little slowly but its not too bad. I think she did a good job narrating. 2 people found this helpful

Audiobook Let it All Burn by Denise Grover Swank
Not very funny. And BTW, when a woman has a hysterectomy WITH ovaries removed she gets hot flashes. A lot of the story centered around family not experiencing what Darcy did because of having ovaries removed. As a woman that experienced surgical menopause at 36 this irritated and offended me. Just not very exciting either. 1 person found this helpful

Audio Let it All Burn narrated by Melissa Moran
I love Denise Grover Swank\’s book and this one is exception. I\’m fairly new to audible but the narrator, Melissa Morgan, did an awesome job. she is the best narrator I\’ve heard so far. 1 person found this helpful
